He's trying to say that 1und1.de are charging €2.49.
In UK they are charging 0.99p

Seems it's only free in the USA

Seems they charge your card $6 , but will 'return' it soon.

Also, I looked them up and see nothing but complaints about them. So I'll pass on this, and advise others to do your homework first.

I have 12 domains through 1and1 and they have been nothing but straight up with me. But like you mentioned, I have also seen a lot of complaints from others so I can only speak for myself.

thanks for the review rodney .. I'm definitely interested in this offer, hell who doesn't love Free. I just don't want my credit card wiped out .. there's a lot of money available on there. Maybe I'll just grab a $10 prepaid card or whatever.. sounds good

I would say they are definitely not a fly-by-night company plus they have by far the best prices around and their servers very rarely have down time. If you are worried about them ripping you off by fraudulently charging your credit card this has never happened to me and I have been with them for over two years.

I was with 1and1 about a year ago, and they charged this extra server on my account and I said I never put it on, it somehow was added a random month, I got no email notification or anything, and then it automatically got deducted from my credit card, I asked for a refund but they said there is nothing we can do. The next morning I left them.
