I didn't know at which section to post this, so I will post here. I wanted to know could you tell me originality/dupe checking tools I can use for my articles? Copyscape doesn't work as it requires the article to be listed in a site. Other ones I have tried need to have the source article. I am looking for a tool where I can just paste the article in and it looks for dublicates over the net.

I believe copyscape actually has what you're looking for but it costs something like $0.05 per dupe check. Not sure of any free tools though.

If the only thing that prevents you to use copyscape is the fact that you need to have your article online, you can overcome this easily :
Just setup a free blog at blogger.com, post your article, enter the blog's url in copyscape to check its uniqueness, and then delete the post.
Should take you less than 5 minutes

The software is free, just have to opt-in and give valid email address to receive download.
The landing page is very wordy, but the software is good. I use it for the LSI function, just type in keywords and hit the LSI button and the software gives you Google's Search Engine Proven Synonyms, a lot quicker than using the tilde symbol and extracting them manually.
Just copy and paste into the "Article 1" column and hit the "Online" button, the software will scour the web for dupes.

Get picked up... meaning? Duplicates where found? Or, what I hope ISN'T the case, that Google indexes, or sources them or whatever, somehow? (meaning: you write a completely fresh, brand new article, you go to those tools to check it, and then later find that Google has found links to that article being used somewhere else - the tool steals the article and autoposts it somewhere or something) That would suck.
