Strange issue with SB.
Running on the same VPS ive had for a couple of months, just recently the check links module has been crashing SB and sometimes crashing the server.

It runs CPU up to 99% and hangs, even on 1 thread.

Strangly, the free standalone link checker (sblinkchecker.exe) does not have a problem, works fine and fast on the max 100 threads.

I have emailed support and am confident they will help me sort it out, but thought i would post here and see if anyone else has experienced something similar and has a fix.

Thanks

even on 1 thread.

It doesnt matter how many threads, 1 or 200, the same thing happens, same with timeout settings.

Though standalone link checker is fine on its max threads (100 max allowed).

Strange.

I'm going to take a shot in the dark here, and you tell me if I'm right.

You're checking lists where you've posted on multiple URLs from the same domain right?

If I'm correct, the solution is to randomize the list BEFORE you put it in the link checker.

SB support has explained quiet clearly that there is no logical reson for this to happen, so i have been kicking my server provider and will be moving to a new node.

Yes, same provider. the standalone link checker is a free download from the SB website.
go to /free-link-checker

How many threads did you check in one go? Timeouts and if multiple instance and tell me which plan are you on xsserver?
