First sorry for my english.

Why does Facebook staff is acting so incompetently ? I have websites, aka ''Like sites'', on which every visitor can add a sentence and 'Like' it. My domains were banned from Facebook. They were 5-letter .COM domains.

Here I have to mention that my websites do NOT contain malicious software, viruses, trojans. There were not involved / related to Facebook, its logos, or Trademarks. Nor stealing user's information / passwords. They were made for pure entertainment and many people have been enjoying.

Where HAS IT BEEN WRITTEN that such websites are prohibited to create ? Facebook allow EVERY website to add a ''Like'' button, then why does it ban some later ? If a website posts a news and places the ''Like'' button to it, it's like posting a sentence to like. Isn't it ? Why is it breaking the Facebook TOS ?

God, it's not even a free spammy domain like f**kikng-son-of-a-bi**h.TK
It's a 5 letter .COM domain. Site's navigation is easy, no pop-ups, no confusion, nothing.

Am I wright or not ? Could someone explain why ''Like'' websites are breaking the Facebook TOS and where has it been written in FB TOS, please ?

One reason why I could see FB not wanting these sites is because they have pages that are used for this. These pages are on FB server and they serve ads to these pages, which means revenue for FB. If, a user leaves FB to go to your site and mess around, they loose page views.

Not saying it is right or not, just saying that is one reason why they would not like like sites.

even fblike.net , the original like site, got banned
time to move on. quit wasting your time

Oh, and did you have good traffic, meaning what were the numbers for your largest likes?

Yea, maybe Facebook don't want a user to quit Facebook. Maybe.
The more probable reason is that some teenager (a trainee) from Facebook staff is just jalous about the traffic I get to my websites and the money I earn, while he is monitoring all the day for Facebook violations.

I doubt that a Facebook employee banned the external links to your site.

As you know, each item your users like can be marked as spam and/or reported. Now if some users kept creating offensive or defamatory "likes" or there were a lot of people just typing random characters etc. and a lot of other people reported those likes, then your site got blocked automatically.

From Facebook statistics:
More than 30 billion pieces of content (web links, news stories, blog posts, notes, photo albums, etc.) shared each month.

That makes about 1 billion per day. If Facebook relied on human resources to moderate the site, they would go bankrupt in days. That's why they rely on the Report feature and their 500 million users to moderate it. That's the ONLY way for them to keep the site as clean as possible.

the deletions and domain blockings are automated 99.9% of the time. there's no way facebook could have enough staff to respond to all flagged posts in a timely manner

I believe there is a difference between ''Flag'' and ''Report''.

If flagged, it may have a maximum flags to reach, let's say if a domain receive 50,000 flags it got banned automatically.

While reporing, I believe someone really review it. I believe... LOL :)

Are you retarded? Clearly that's not more probable. Facebook have been taking down these kinds of sites ever since around August, their a sinking ship, jump off while you can. Actually, I'd go further to say the ship sunk ages ago and you should've jumped off ages ago.

Facebook probably push against these websites due to manipulation of how they originally designed the whole "LIKE" feature and they don't like focus shifting to external websites, because as aforementioned, loss of page views means loss of ad revenue. Then again, that assumes that these sites took a substantial portion of the page views away from Facebook, so I'd proper place it back to their branding and the issue of not wanting to shift focus onto external websites.

EDIT: Not trying to be harsh, but I just felt like that was the stupidest reason for you claim as "most probable".

Facebook:
The Like button lets a user share your content with friends on Facebook
The most important social plugin is the Like button, which enables users to post pages from your site back to their Facebook profile with one click. You can add a Like button to any page...
Then explain me what is the difference between posting a news article and a sentence to Like ?

If a user likes something in my website, he wants to share it with his friends. Either its ''I love sleeping'' or a 500 word text, it doesn't matter. I'm not forcing users to share it in Facebook, either I'm manipulating the Like button.

I understand that Facebook doesn't like such websites, because they might be about 100,000. Many of them are full of pop ups, spam, viruses and so on. On my websites, there is no such things. There is NO reason to ban my websites.

I dont want to go too much into details on here, but some questions I have are, how is your site banned? Do you still have like buttons, but your links in news feeds are dead? Did your likes reset to zero, since your domain is blocked? Do you still have the like totals on your site?I guess what I am getting at is those links dont just die.

"I'm not forcing users to share it in Facebook"

Ummm, you are forcing them because if they click the like button, they are forced to share it on FB. You are using the feature, it is a major aspect of your site.

Facebook clearly didn't intend for websites to create massive farms of liked sentences though, it was intended for webmasters of websites to allow users to like the content posted and thus spread it socially, and as you mentioned, there's a large number of websites serving exactly the same purposes.

They've been dropping them off since August when the first ones began to go downhill, and continued ever since. I guess the end result is, regardless of whether you're right or wrong, whether defined by your own definition or even by there own documentation, what's done is done your banned, and it's highly probable that they won't reinstate your website.

Find something new to do that isn't in a declining space.

Why? Because you're not a big company. Their rules prohibit EVERYTHING.
Unless you're a fortune 500 company. Then they will almost literally s**k your d**k.
It's not right, but It's true...

But my websites got banned at the same moment. It's a human act. Someones just got jalous.

Do you host all website on the same server? Do they all use the same application ID?

Yes, to both questions.
I host 3 websites on one server (VPS). 2/3 got banned. (the 3rd has not so much popularity). Why do they didn't ban it too ? (I'm sure you know lol).

By the way, I'll ask for the deletion of this thread.

Thank you all.

Facebook has a rule that when someone put the like/share plugin on their site, they should have some content. Most of the "Like" sites got banned because there is no content on the site, and also few people reports the site as their wall is spammed by some random lengthy links. Facebook doesnt monitors with trainee or workers.
