What if someone else bought a domain name using my name and put all sorts of crap up there about me? Lies and pics etc.

The domain is registered in china and the hosting is in another country and anonymous.

Additionally I read somewhere a while back you can unlist sites in Google if you make the site look as though it has malware or a virus?

If they were in the USA MAYBE you could go after them but in China, that's rough.

I think you can only trip off the malware filters if you put some malicious code or drop links to attack sites on their pages.

Well the hosting might be in Europe and the domain registration is in China.

Is there no legal action I can take against using my name or anything like that?

I dont know about legal actions...

But you can make Web 2.0 and buy others domains do seo..and at least you can minimize the problem getting the first positions..

If the owner/operator is in a country in which you can file a claim against then it doesnt' matter if it's hosted in a country you can't touch.

For example if someone lives in the usa and they setup a business with offshore hosting, they are only protected if there isn't any way to track them down. If you can prove that the website is owned by a US citizen then you can still file a lawsuit. The court has no jurisdiction to force an overseas hosting company or registrar to do anything, but they can force the US owner to do something.

If the individual used fake information to set everything up then there isn't much that can be done, but if you can track down who the actual owner is then it would be worth discussing the matter with a lawyer. If you do know who the owner is then a consultation with a lawyer is the best way to find out what course of action can be pursued. Even if you can do something, you'll also need to have the financial resources available to pursue it.

Well if that would work I bet there would be a lot less porn sites in the google serps.

Google doesn't doesn't care when it comes to just indexing, it just doesn't want adsense on any porn sites.

If you know who started the site do the exact same thing to him just much much worse and then contact him and say you will take the site about him down if he does the same for you and then transfer the domains between you two lol that's what I would do. Otherwise buy some Xrummer blasts on fiverr to the negative site and see if it crashes, buy like 250k links.

I dont worry about negative seo. I wouldn't be surprised if all of these people that are doing negative, end up benefiting their competitors after a update or something.
