Does .mobi help for searches from mobile devices?

I know country TLDs give you a boost in local searches. Does .mobi give a boost in searches from mobile devices?

i dont think is does. and people on mobile phones/devices dont want to type more then they have to. your better off with a .com anyday

Its not about people typing but about google ranking you higher for mobile searches.
Im pretty sure Google likes .mobi for mobile ranking, cause they were one of the main sponsors of this project (check wikipedia)
