Venting; Rankings dropped.

My sites ranking dropped extremely within a few hours from being ranked top 10 the past year to drooping in the 200+ haha.

I'm guessing it has to do with all the new links I been building. Should be back up in a bit since my link count hasn't changed on Google Webmaster tools also. When I search for my site im still there.

God I feel like a noob when Google does things like this. -_-

Sorry to hear that. I've been fortunate enough not to lose rankings for my keywords. I've been kind of conservative in my link building campaigns, meaning I don't overdo it by spamming my links all over the place. I mostly target high PR links and blogs that haven't been spammed to death.

I also try to be consistent with the amount of links I target. That has worked well for me so I will keep doing the same thing.

I had one site drop from page 2 to 15 yesterday...I think this is just temporary. You souldn't worry too much

sorry to bump this thread, but I have awesome news! After falling on the 25 page on December 2nd, my site is now ranking on first page on the second position

Yup pretty much rankings are coming back (not all of them) but a lot stronger. We will see where it decides to stop moving.

Keep building links at a normal pace and you should be fine. This up and down can take a few weeks sometimes.

haha thanks bro.

Also some of my main keywords are still slacking and haven't made the bounce back and it has been 14 some days. I checked and saw the PR is still the same and all the links are still counted by big G. I'm guessing I need to keep the building up and see it bounce back.

I've had my #1 money site penalized/filtered/sandboxed/whatever since September.. Still can't figure out the cause.. it's an 11 year old domain and an established site. Think I did too much blog commenting?

My site was top 3 for 3 keywords for the last 6 weeks and today its no where to be found. I dunno what happened to it since I havn't touched it in the last 4 weeks.
