Earn Money From Your Video
Apply for partnership to take advantage of your popular video

Sign Up etc

After going through the steps it says i just need to link my google adsense account to complete the sign up. Not sure if anyone has come across this on one of their random accounts, but just wanted to ask is this an actual offer to become a partner or just a sign up and then i would have to be accepted?

It's so you can put your adsense ads on your video and its page instead of youtubes ads. I've gotten that a few times but none of my vids were original or were acceptable....are video games allowed though since you are putting another companies game up? You cant use pics, video, music...anything that is not your own or have permission to use.

You need an Adsense account to get paid for the videos ads. YouTube serves the ads for AdSense. AdSense is the place who cuts you a check or directly deposits your money.

Hey one off question, which program you using for rating?

its IVPP, so your not partner but that video gained enough traffic quickly enough for youtube to want to put ads on it.

Ah i see, thanks Adam

The video gained traffic quickly but first they will just accept the video to be under reviews. It takes around 2 weeks to start seeing revenue. When I was looking at acceptable videos they said video game videos needed a tutorial or some sort to be accepted not just gameplay. Moral of it all even though they mention partnership it doesn't mean that you will get it at the end.

Sounds like they are just offering you ads on the one video, not a full partnership. Most likely when it gets reviewed it will be denied revenue sharing because it shows a video game and unless you can fax them that you have permission they don't allow that.

I know there are some big channels that are partners and do nothing but gameplay but youtube aways bends the rules for the really popular. Its the same thing where you aren't supposed to use profanity but some of the big names can say whatever they want and yt still sends em checks.
