There are companies that do these jobs. My theory of SMS marketing is completing different. I fit my product somewhere in the message which reader has to forward all his friends. Helps a lot.

I have a simple sms system setup. Here is what I can do:

- ability to create different lists
- ability to have people opt-in by texting a number or by texting a "special" word to the number
- ability to blast an sms the subscribers
- ability to autorespond to the user, example: "text us for a discount on chinese food" they text 555-555-5555 and get back a coupon "code". (This could also add them to a list)

This isn't a system that uses email to forward to SMS in case you were wondering.

I know that your list source would be appreciated here on this thread. I have had a lot of cost associates with getting lists. I know that the costs aren't related to the quality. You have to be careful

I agree with you darkwood. I have known so many hard working individuals who have got scammed just because someone has a claimed "targeted sms list". Just how targeted are these lists? This is probably why no one has had much success with generating sales from them.

The solution to this problem is to create your own lead capture page(s) on your purchased domain. People have the option to opt-in to your list; make them enter their name, cell phone, email, ext. Now you want to advertise you website with the lead capture page on Twitter or Facebook to name a few; wherever the traffic source is of course. Use Facebook and Twitter software and you can get hundreds and even thousands of numbers per day. These people will know why exactly they are giving you their precious cell phone number, and will not be uninterested, because they are expecting it! You will from their send them texts that contain links to your free e-books (for example) that contain value and significance.

It is so important to put yourself in the shoes of others, so that you can develop an excellent strategy; and there are many of these

Sly, you are right about this, but, that is pretty common knowledge. Of course you will have better luck with people that have opted in to your list then just randomly sending out messages. This is true in SMS, just as it is true in email marketing.

But bulk email or bulk sms works on volume, just a numbers game, of course the conversion rates will be way lower, but you just send out way more.

However, if you want to have an opt in for SMS, i have the system to allow you to do that, similar to aweber, collect their number and then start the drip, if you know what i mean.

But tell me what good it is to send out bulk texts or emails if it is just a low conversion rate. I am talking about sending out mass sms that are completely targeted, and result in a much higher conversion rate.

No thanks on your services, I have already unlimited texting software that includes this opt-in feature. I can send mass texts for a lifetime, and I only had to pay one price. But thanks anyways.
