Recently I've run into a couple of situations where web 2.0 properties DON'T like backlinks (i.e. profile links, excessive building, etc) so I've been gaming that theory a little bit by using 301 redirects.
1) Register cheap .info domain with registrar who does redirects with masking
2) Redirect domain with masking to Web 2.0 property including a different title and regular description
3) Wait 24 hours
4) Blast the sh#t out of the 301 redirect
This way you are not direct linking to the specific Web 2.0 property and can even get rankings on it.
I have a couple of web 2.0 properties that rank in the top 5 for popular Clickbank products and CPA offers.
