I had a thousand or so a few hours ago.. I just checked and I'm at 68.. Anyone know what's going on? :S

I think various factors can contribute to this happening, with one of the major ones being your site's likes going up to fast. Are you doing anything shady on your website (example: providing an incentive to click the like button)? Or is this a perfectly compliant like button on a legitimate site?

It's kinda black hat.. I was redirecting 'likes' from another site.. Ugh, should I let it continue going up now or switch domains?

And facebook can reset it if it goes up too fast? :S

like button died in summer 2010
if you get too many likes in too short time period facebook may disable the admin on the open graph page, it WILL ban the domain, and possibly remove pub rights

facebook is pretty ruthless when it comes to laying the smack down. I would have disconnect the connected sites asap, but that might have been too late anyways

I will go with a different angle. Did you do anything to your opengraph? It is easy to mess things up with a slight change to your opengraph.

Edit: And if it is due to opengraph, then you did not lose your likes.
