I started selling on ebay in 2000 with very limited success.Mostly stuff i found at yard sales and things from my home. Then i found this site and thought i would try to sell some replica items.Just as a test i put it online and said i had 4 available well by the end of the day they were all gone.I bought them for $46 that included shipping from china and i was selling them for $200.
When i sold out i relisted the item and sold 2 more before i was shut down.
I also placed an ad for a different item similar to the first one that cost me $104 to buy and i was only selling it one at a time.Sold the first one for $300
and relisted. Now i have bids on the new item but im starting to get scared.I dont want to lose my account with ebay or paypal.I was given a warning had my listing removed for the first item but no one is complaining about the second item. I also have a ebay question sent to me asking if the product is real or a copy and im not sure how to answer them without getting my listing removed.I only have a few more hours till my auction sells. What should i tell the person and should i keep listing the items. What about if the people once they start getting the items do like them and want the money back what do you do.Maybe i should have thought this out a little more.Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You were right !! They put a limitation on my paypal account this morning. Now what can i do.Is it illegal to buy things from china and have it sell on ebay.I never made any indication that these items were real. The item i was selling are dvd box sets and i only sold 6 total. Is that an alarm to paypal to have them put limitations on the account.I have had that account since 2000 and never had a problem.I have a 100% feedback on ebay. They want to know my suppliers name and have a invoice which i can give them but what happens after i do that.Does paypal care where i get my items. This is my real account. If i just send them my info do you think i will get my limitation taken off? Please any help would be appreciated. I do have tracking numbers for the items and the customers will be getting them in a few days will that help me or will it be a bust.

Yeah, it's just automation. And yeah, if its in demand, and it Could be a copy, then eBay will assume all are copies until proven they aren't. Asking for that information is just a formality, they don't actually care. I sometimes fax them scans of the funny pages of my local newspapers, and then I wait a week and I call and ask them "why am I still limited? You said you received all of the information and I should be able to sell again." - but, I wouldn't count on it. Like I said, it could just be a formality and you may be forever suspended on eBay from listing and selling an item that triggers their fraud detection. If they just limited your eBay account, then that's a sign of that it was just a selling limit being placed, but because its through PayPal... I wouldn't expect to get the account back ever again.

I will tell you that my ebay account didnt get suspended.I have listings still running not the dvds but personal things.I spoke with someone at ebay and they told me there isnt a problem with my account and i am not suspended or limited. It might just be that i havent made this much on my paypal account at one time so they want some more info.Im sending them what they want i hope it works. Does paypal care where you get your items. Is this just a formality that i have to go through.I have never haed any problems in my 10 yrs on ebay and paypal.Let me know what you think.

If you buy some replica watches, purses, sunglasses, electronics, or things like that from china then it isn't necessarily illegal as long as you aren't claiming or implying that they're genuine.

In the case of something like dvds the concept of replica is tossed out the window and your left dealing with pirated goods which is definately illegal.

Ebay is pretty tough on replicas, but for some items it's possible to sell if you're very careful what you say in the listing. If it's pirated goods then they'll shut you down as fast as they can find it.

Its all about strategy with such products, you need to spread risk ie share the risk across the board, if you need help pm me.

The truth is i dont think ill be doing this again.I just want to get out of the mess im in and go back to selling my usual things. My question is still this.If i send paypal all my invoices and the things they are requesting.
1. will they release my funds and 2.Do they tell the customers where i recieved them and how much i paid for the item.Like i said no one has reported me for anything. They will be receiving the dvd's by monday or tues.I feel that if the customer finds out how much i bought them for and what they paid they might ask for the refund. Is there any chance they will find out.
