Of course you can use gmails to create youtubes

You just can't send emails with them without being asked for phone verification

What do you mean saying about confirmation emails? Why should you send them? Don't you just need to click on some link got from the forum?

There are a a few sites that ask you to reply to their confirmation message with a blank message.

Anyway, I can ignore those sites, but are those accounts good to read the emails and click on the confirmation link sent to them from the websites where I register with them?

Yes, our non-PVA gmails work fine for receiving and clicking confirmation links
