Attracting local FB users for Event Marketing

What is the most efficient, effective & quick way to build a fan page or group with local people (within 60 miles) of my location for the purpose of event marketing?

My goal is to drive FB users in mass to my real estate seminars in Feb.

Any help and or ideas would be appreciated. I'm also open to JV or other suggestions.

have you tried Facebook ads. ?? That might be effective since it can geo target certain places.. not really sure.

or

create 1 account then mass add those people to that account. there mutual friends/friends will surely be only be near to that 60miles.

It seems to me that Facebook PPC Ads are the obvious answer. I'm looking for "BlackHatWorld" type strategies. I'd like to limit my cost and supercharge my facebook fan page growth. I want to get 40,000+ local facebook fans to my page over the next three months...

Does anybody have a creative solution? (no offense intended to those who've posted already)

ocommunity is a solid program.. you can gather people from schools and hope that they live where there schools highschools etc are located..

I had considered using FB blaster or something similar to request friends to my main Personality account. That account is limited to 5,000 friends so I was going to then ask those 5,000 friends to sign up to my fan page. Once I got some of those people to transfer to the fan I would drop those that transferred and invite new friends.

I know this is not a perfect solution. I know somebody has a better idea...Let's hear it! : )

i can populate 1 account with 700-1000 friends a week, so if you have like 10 accounts so that would be around 7k-10k friends.

700-1000 a week is nice. Is this Local FB users? How would you target users?
