how many Micro-niche sites do you have?

I'm currently making a micro niche site, rather a site targetting long tail kw's . I was wondering if you all could share how many micro-niche site you have! with these i know its the numbers that matter. How many does it take to build a stable 500$ a month?

wow 400? i better start now! or it i'd be old by the time i finish a decent number of sites.. how much are you making with those 400 blogs? and how are your ranking?

In my experience it's not the numbers that matter, it's the quality. If you research your keyword well and SEO your site properly, earnings will increase.

And I can't be bothered managing hundreds of micro niche sites. It's too much work, even though lets say each site earn $1/day, just think of how much time involved in maintaining these sites? Time is golden.

If you're optmizing for long tail keywords it is a numbers game, as you said you would probably would earn a 1$ per day! it is hard to go with the short kw's! you'll have to face stiff competition from the authority sites with age old domains and shit load of links! or you have be lucky to find a keyword with sufficient traffic, but even so you would need many of those to give you a stable income!

Yeah definitely do the research first. Make sure you can get in, can sell something, and that enough people are searching it.

Personally I have 8 right now. 7 are making about $350/m combined, and my one which is a software pulls in about $1k/m.

Quality over quantity. Although 400 sites, even if they are only making $5-10/m you are doing alright.

I have 16 and counting. The hardest part is the research. The content creation is easy for me due to tools I use. And the SEO is easy due to the tools as well. Each site makes like 10 to 50 cwnts a day but I love it! That is a great start and anyone else should agree!

I have about 80 micro niche blogs. Easy to manage as they are on 85% autopilot it's just the initial setup that is a bit time consuming specially the keyword research.

EDIT: Forgot to answer your question regarding how long it takes to build a stable $500 from micro niche sites. Well it really depends on maybe one site will get ranked for a really good search phrase
and pull in the majority of the cash. I really think it's an impossible question to answer since it involves so many factors. Maybe you are making micro niche sites regarding digital cameras and you have 40 sites making a total of $300 a month then another guy has 10 sites on the subject graphic cards and pulls in $1000 / month because its easier to rank in "graphic cards" and his sites are more quality/relevant.

You see what I mean? Really hard to answer but to give you a little motivation - I have a friend/client that has a network of about 300 micro niche blogs and he pulls in about $8000 - $10 000 / month and its steadily increasing as the blogs are getting bigger and his network as well.

Guys, when you speak about micro niche sites - how micro is micro to you.
Meaning - how many exact searches per month has the keyword and how many competing results (in quotes on google) are there?

Example - keyword getting 500 searches a month and 5000 results "keyword phrase" on google in quotes.

For example those 1$/day sites - what are competition numbers as per above.

And what kind of seo work do you throw at them? I mean if its micro niche it should be easy to rank with few backlinks?

Very nice for micro niches. But again - how micro is your micro? How many searches and how many competing results on average?

He has about 300 blogs and I about 80. I think he has been working on this project for more then 1 year and I know he has spent a bit over $3k in backlink building for the micro blogs and maybe even more.

I am earning money with adsense, CJ and Amazon.

Well i see even the micro niche's are getting saturated! as a rule the exact phrase in google shouldn't yield more than 5-10K, and the phrase search should be in the order of xx,xxx . It doesn't mean you can't outrank them just that it would be more hard to reach there! With micro-sites the more the better!

Even smallest site inside my network got more then 10 article pages, biggest one got 16,000 indexed pages.

Forgot one of my site got around 1 mil indexed pages, lol i haven't started proper work on it dunno if yahoo is just fooling me but from last 1 month I am seeing it.

I am doing good with moneywise... Quality over Quantity... Starting few more sites by next month. No autoblogs, all unique content and ranking for their keywords on first page of different search engines...

I will say build few sites and work on them... In the end you will make more....

So you have a site with 1 million unique handwritten content pages?
