Why does it take so long for Adwords ads to get approved?

My adwords ad has been stuck as "Eligible" for many days now. Sertiously.. how long does it take to review it?

unfortunately,it seems that your adwords account is suspended.

It's Google, they think they can do whatever they want. I'm not sure if it was in my head or if it actually worked, but when my campaigns were taking too long, I would request help. Using one of the help features that Google offers. After that, within 24-48 hours, my campaigns became active.

same here... for us small guys google dont care. After 3 months of "eligible" I finally gave up and deleted the campaign

I have seen this as well. Now I have one account that I have had for years with my company and we send a few k a month with this account. When we put an add up its approved right away.

Now on the other hand I have another account that is only about 5 months old that i spend 500 or so a month with and the ad approvals take anywhere from 3 to 12 days was the longest.
