If you don't have at least a dual core CPU don't read this

I found a way to run 2 scrapebox instances on one PC. I searched and didn't find this shared before. I hope it's allowed to share this method if not please delete the topic :D

You can run multiple instances of scrapebox with one license, however all instances must be run from the same PC.
Each instance must be run from a separate folder.
Create a second empty folder:

if you have /scrapebox/
create /scrapebox2/

Then copy the contents from your original scrapebox folder to the second folder so you have two separate copies.
I've just tested this and it's working.

Or you could just create multiple scrapebox.exe's. eg, scrapebox1.exe, scrapebox2.exe, etc.

i just copied the exe file and made a dupe of it, and they both start.
Hah :)

If you have a windows 2008 server you can use the RDPapp, so you can run them from another place.
Example, 1 server, and 1-32 ppl can connect to it using remote app, and all run a own process of SB.

Also you can go to "Options" then "Name Your Instance of ScrapeBox" and give each one a custom name such as "Harvester".

This name will appear in the title bar of the app, in tray alerts when functions complete etc to make working with multiple instances easier.

You could but it's best not to do that, because they will all write to the same scrapebox.ini settings file which can cause problems if one is writing a setting to the file and another instance is in the middle of reading it etc.

Smart, its frustrating when the console is locked when harvesting or doing other jobs, its good that it will be able to name the instances and have them working different tasks.

it really does not makes sense to run multiple instances because each one uses multithreading and alot of memory as well as cpu is used up. So unless you have at minimum of 2gb ram and 2.5 ghz cpu then your computer will be extremely slow at other tasks.

I guess if you are an internet marketer the most important thing is to have a decent PC. 2gb ram is the very minimum.

Agreed. You're killing yourself. Here I've got a quad core running with 12gig DDR3 and dual video cards. The shit flys using dreamweaver, photoshop, and flash, plus whatever else I'm working on :)

You do realize that if you try to open up 2 scrapeboxes from the same folder at the same time it gives you these instructions?

I tried this before but ended up only using one anyway due to the high bandwidth it consumes

It's written in manual I think.
I'm using it all time in 3 instances on VPS and more on dedi.

Hahha I never read messages like this :D. This means that this topic is useless. Sorry guys :P

When I harvest I like to go all out :)

Running 3 Computers, Each with 3 instances

(sorry free proxies)

You can also start up the add-ons (like Blog Analyzer). It will open in a new window. Then you can go back to the main SB window and go about harvesting or commenting or whatever else you want to do. You could do this for each instance you have running (I assume) and get real carried away...and probably completely forget what you were doing in each instance that is running and have to start all of them all over.

Yeah, kind of surprised that people dont read, especially when they are trying to learn a program. I have 3 licenses on 3 separate servers, and I have no less then 10 instances on each server.
