Unique IP per Domain?

Yes it makes a major difference. Think of it this way... You need it for backlinks... You need it to keep the adsense sites from being connected.... You need it for your PPC sites..... These are just a few small reasons... I am sure there are many members that will go into detail if you ask on these alone.....

Now that someone asked this, I also want to know because I bought a shared hosting, and had a unique IP assigned to the domain that I registered it with but the WITHOUT Whois guard, and now, I also bought another domain on that same shared hosting, BUT I also bought a separate Unique IP for that 2nd domain and I added a whois guard into it. Is that safe? Can I interlink both sites? or it will still cause a red flag on Google?
I asked this because the customer support on that hosting kept saying that it was an ADDON Domain, but they have assigned a separate username and password for it.
Can anybody give me an input on this? I know it is not what the OP has requested but I believe it is on the same category so PEACE!

If you have 10 sites on one IP and if you provide links from one of your websites to another on the same IP, those links will be discounted by Google. But if you have these domains on separate class C IP addresses, you can use your sites for passing authority, pagerank by building links.

What if the domains have unique IP but they are hosted on the same shared hosting account?

It does not matter how many sites are hosted on an IP address. It matters how many are in the same niche and how many are pointing to each other for backlinks. It is a double edge sword on this. That is why I started hosting with multiple IPs. It surely makes all the difference in the world...
Google looks at the IP address first when looking to give a backlink. If there is multiple sites pointing to each other on the same IP--- See you in omitted results!

Also G@@gle does not use whois info for omiting or blacklisting except when it is done by hand, which is like never. Automated whois lookups are against the overall (internic i think) terms of service even for g. Plus they are lazy and don't really care. if they catch most of the spam that uses the same ip they are happy.

Google see one website per Ip. If you have a100 sites all on IP then Google considers them one site that is why it is pointless to interlink them.

Yes, but what if I use a shared hosting, and both of my website is hosted under that single hosting account, BUT I've bought unique IP for each of those two domain. Does that mean It is safe to interlink them?
Do the ips have unique c blocks?
the c block is the 3rd set of numbers in your ip adress
in this example 222 is the cblock,
111.333.222.444
Your goal is to have each site on a different c block if your looking to pass to pass the maximum amount of link juice.
If you have the same cblock, then it will not be as helpful to link one to the other, but it should not hurt you either unless you have hundreds of sites. Google mite just not give you much or any link juice.

Both of the domain which is hosted under the same account has different "C-block" and also "D-block" (I don't know if D-block exists lol)
But yes, only the A block and B block are the same.
This means that I will not have any problem with G even if I interlink them right? Nice.

If your goal is to boost em up in the search engine rankings you will only want to link one to the other, not both to each other. If you you link them both together (called a hard link exchange) google will give you less juice or no juice at all.
Link site a to site b, not a to b and b to a.

Yes, that is what I'm planning to do. Thanks for helping mate, I guess buying dedicated IP for both of the domain is the best thing that I did.

I don't recommend having many sites on one ip because if one gets banned, then there's a chance for all of them to get banned due to interlinking via IP's.
