Okay, I have officially purchased my first domain.

The name is "WeAreAndroids.com", I have an idea to make a Google Android News and Support Website/Community. But I'm not sure how long that would take.

Do you think my domain is worth anything?

Build a good website news, make backlinks, get indexed, rank for some keywords, put adsense, make a forum...

Research man!
Find a keyword. check the competition. Build your site, build traffic, monetize it!

Good luck!

I suggest this is what you do.
First decide how much resources you can invest in the website (money, time)
First, you should decide if you mainly want to focus on blogs or forums.
I suggest blogs as that is easier for new sites.
Create a blog on you homepage with Wordpress.
Invest an adaquate amount of money creating header and footer graphics. This is very important, in fact, more important than any other factor in appearance.
After you establish a blog with some posts, optimize it for SEO. Browse this forum for really good Wordpress SEO plugins or PM me.
For creating a forum,
Create a subdomain named forum.yoursite.---
Then install VB forum software.
After that, browse this forum for the VB SEO pack.
That should get you started.
The most important thing is always content, content, content!
:dunce:

Forums will be a great choice for me. Place adsense inside..

The thing about the tech niche is that there are so many sites already way ahead, meaning they have a lot of connections to cell phone makers and will get the best content first.

The best thing you can do is be different like offer weekly giveways stuff like that

It is going to very very hard to get high search engine rankings on a keyword like "android." However, this is a good niche for the facebook crowd. I heard that people have had good results by using the fb ppc program

What is the fb ppc program? Does it mean you have ads from fb advertisers on your site? Where do I sign up?

to the OP: A forum would be easier to attract traffic to but has less earning potential since forum posters don't usually click adds.

Facebook ppc usually refers to the opposite - you put your ads in the FB system and choose the demoraphics that they will be displayed to.

I have not heard of FB Adsense lookalike - but if your site/FB page is attractve I guess you could include banners of others there for a cost.

Forum with a high page rank and many visitors requires creation of a strong community. If you think you can come up with the content - it's not bad.

You will increase the rank of the whole domain and can advertise on the main/blog part of it.

And you can use ads/links as your signature or at the top of thread pages.
Plus once you are accepted as a Leader there, they would read, what you have to offer, so rather than expect them to click on sth for a few cents a pop, think of afiliate promotions or your own product - in the case of Android - maybe an app, that you can outsource in the first place. Not expensive, btw.
