Student Gets Prison For Hacking Bill O'Reilly Site.
He also confessed to messing with Ann Coulter and Rudy Giuliani sites.

CLEVELAND ? An Ohio college student who pleaded guilty to hacking into conservative commentator Bill O'Reilly's website has been sentenced to 30 months in prison and must pay the site $40,000.

The U.S. attorney's office in Cleveland said Tuesday that 23-year-old Bellevue resident Mitchell Frost was sentenced last week. Frost had pleaded guilty to causing damage to a protected computer system and possessing unauthorized access devices.

Authorities say Frost used the University of Akron's computer network to hack into other networks in 2006 and 2007. Frost also admitted shutting down an Ann Coulter site and a Rudy Giuliani presidential campaign site.

Frost also was sentenced to three years of supervised release and must pay $10,000. to the university.

Wow, 3 year's + 40.000$

His life is ruined ! He should have better used his knowledge for Black Hat to make money :)

His knowledge won't help him in prison..
He could make a lot of money if he were here.

1st rule: don't hack from your own pc; from your own house; or from any venue that you're known to frequent.

I would add to that rule: Just don't hack from any PC in the US or EU Not even with proxy... the full weight of the law will fall upon you.

Or like someone else said, put your skills into some BH money making instead!

Bill O Reilly got owned by a kid on live TV once. Something about a book review. He got owned by Letterman as well.

He asked a question to Letterman and Letterman was taking his time to answer...Bill yelled - it is a simple question - Yes or No. Letterman then owned him by saying "It is not a simple question for me because I am thoughtfu".

Bill O Reilly went so red. Moral of the story - When you bark all day, your site will get hacked someday - LOL

The hackers like to show off with no problems. The guy who hacked the website confessed everything... Why? Because big companies can get him to protect their websites and other infrastructures. Thats why they show off confessing everything.

I wonder if he is idiot enough to trade 40k + 3 years for a job.

I wonder how they caught the man. I was wondering if someone could ever hack and shut down all units in the CIA? That would be awesome!

respect for Frost Bill O Reily is how can i say this, not the sharpest knife in the drawer

Well if hes that good of a hacker to hack into those sites, wouldnt he think to cover his tracks? I dont understand how he would get caught with proxies and all other kinds of shit he probably did or didnt do..

My guess is that he's a script kiddie, because defacing sites is what they do. They don't really understand vulnerabilities, they just take the code that the real hackers provide and use it to deface sites. A lot of exploits shared publicly include the code needed to hack sites that are vulnerable, as well as something called "jerk" which is a footprint for vulnerable sites you can find on search engines, such as ""powered by expoitable platform v1.3"

Edit: I just remembered there was a guy in bhw whose WP blogs where defaced last week. I figured out that it was because he was using cforms plugin (there was an exploit for a certain version of it and he didn't update it). I investigated the situation and found out that ~10k sites that were using the old version of cforms were defaced.

This man is right :), that hacker could be just a simple script kiddie(a person who use other people created hacking soft, codes, scripts) the real hacker will not get busted so easy.

BTW i don't like the title - Hacker (Mitchell Frost) Gets 3 Years For Defacing Web Sites

The Word Hacker schouldn't be using on this situation as he is not a hacker, even people who are really into hacking and are creating everything for themselves, finding vurnbilities(forgot how to spell this word haha) and other serious things, can't call theirselves Hackers, you need to deserve that name...
