Three Months in the SandBox - WHAT SHOULD I DO???

Hi there people

One of my sites got hit with the sandbox three months ago. It is a fairly white hat site and I tried to experiment with a link wheel with about 20 links or so all linking to each other. After I did this, I went from the bottom of the first page to the top 3 for almost every keyword. For a day that is. Please don't hit the thread with comments that say that 20 back links will never sandbox a site. I would appreciate help with the sandbox instead.

Then the sandbox came and it has been three months. I have added content and backlinks to it regularly but there has been no effect.

My site is indexed and ranking in places like 600 for all keywords. It gets crawled every 7-10 days as well, before, it used to be a crawl every 2 days.


What should I do. Should I remove the link wheel that I created. Should I submit a google reconsideration request (Is there even such a thing).

Any advice would be appreciated.

Well uptil now I do somthing different to avoid Sandbox so use following

1- try to remove linkwheel first
2- Social bookmark and directory submssion + articles for few days (10-20)
3- Time to bump
4-slowly Authority Profle and web2.0 properties pointing ur site but no link wheel becoz they may track your way again
5- Use SB or Xumer for those web2.0
but keep your main site WH
------

Thanks for the reply man. I am going to get rid of that link wheel. Thankfully, I have saved up the information well. I guess I should have done it a lot earlier.

I have missed out on about 20k google traffic over the past three months. . I guess patience is not exactly a virtue in this case - LOL

no need to remove linkwheel..
i have faced this problem before.
1. adjust your on-page seo... change your theme, change your meta tag , decrease the keyword density .. write a new post , new article without any of your targeted keyword.
2. make few link to others site ( in main page ) .. etc : to g0ogle.com / yah0o.com /
your friend blog
3. lastly , pray to god..

this is only my experience ..

I had a site ranking just like that for about 8 months. With continuous backlinking it got out, and took the top 5 place for several thousand keywords (streaming site) and now banks pretty well. Just hang in there, and keep at it.

8 months in the sandbox!!! that is terrible. I hope I am not going to be there that long, i really hope that. i got rid of my link wheel, am hoping for the best now.

My site was on a sandboxed before... for a couple of months. Then came out then after few months, it's back again...What i did before was the thing that DUNHILL said...and yes praying to God is one of it..seriously Lol!!!

i myself suffers from google sandbox as of now. Did changed the titles, renew some tags, even change permalinks, resubmit the sitemap. Do massive high PR profile link building will help me get out of sandbox?

my one of the site had been remove from sandbox last month.. I was almost diappointed with that site now i will tell you what i had done with it:

1- removed the link wheel
2- changed the meta tags and some on-page
3- deleted the doorway pages (i had created some of doorway pages) if you are not stuck in door-way then make your content unique and good
4- started manual submissions (articles and blog comments manually to high PR blog ) almost (10-20) in two to three months..
5- and PRAY to GOD
6- I am on now page 2-3 on each keyword..

Just put some adsense on your site and direct some trafic to it once google starts seeing money your site will be out, use a google adwords voucher to set up some adwords and all should be well.

dont delete linkwheel,
this happened to me ....,,

add google analytics to ur site,
if ur getting less than 100 hits /day then go buy some cheap traffic , like 1000 real visitors for 5 bucks.,

and go on fiverr and find someone who can submit ur site to directories and ping ur site for 5 bucks..,

i have done this and now my site ranks on 3rd position for US.

My site doesn't qualify for adsense as it is categorized as adult. Will keep your advice in mind for future problems though. Thanks.

Well, sometimes it take more time to get out of sandbox. it happened to one of my site, it took me almost 7 months to get out of index. so be patient it will get back to ranking..

I was playing the waiting game as well but then got tired of waiting. I figured I would try a few things to bring it out myself.

Just continue to do SEO. Especially high PR backlink and your site will be back soon.

I don't think that is your ranking. These rank trackers will usually show positions only up to 1,000. I am not sure what these numbers are for you.
