Try shrinkmylink, if that doesn't work then make sure you're providing good quality content that's not just aimed at selling the product. In my articles, I only plug the product in the last paragraph. If that still isn't working for you, write some good high quality articles with no plug for awhile. Auto-approve comes at around 18 articles, and from there you can do most anything you want. I wouldn't just sling BS around on AB though. AB is good because it doesn't allow that. Even on auto-approve if you start pumping out BS articles, you will eventually get banned.

I see you submit the same identical article in 2 or 3 categories. How do you stop articles being rejected for being duplicates? I just tried to submit to a new category on AB and got rejected. I am sorry if this has been covered I couldn't find it in the thread.

ArticlesBase is all about high quality. If a lot of people start writing poor quality articles, AB loses their standing on Google which will hurt our sales A LOT. Keep it high quality, and you'll see plenty of sales.

He definitely submitted the exact same article to 3 categories on AB for some of the products. Maybe he is auto-approve so can get away with more. I certainly couldn't do it.

I think it was because I had unknown symbols coming through from pasting it straight from Word. I've now starting doing the Word>Notepad>AB, seems to be better.

That said, I just submitted an article to AB. It's under review. Will work on more articles later.

Folks, he did submit duplicates including summaries (they were all approved on the same day), just to different categories. I submitted duplicates but with different summaries, just to different categories with no problems. And while I saw the OP was able to do it, I wasn't willing to see if AB was going to approve my duplicates by only changing the title. So that is why I chose to at least change the summary and of course the title and category like the OP states in this method.

My AB account is less than three weeks old. And I hadn't begun writing for AB until last week. As of today, I've only submitted 8 articles to them and all have been approved in less than 6 hours of submitting them. I have never had to re-submit my articles, either. You stick the dollar in the snack machine right the first time, then it won't spit it back out. So straighten up the bill, don't rush because it'll only cause that bent corner to bend back and the machine won't take it. Here's what I did after I read the method a few times and studying the OP's account on AB:

1. I whipped up my first article
2. Submitted to AB
3. Waited for it to get approved
4. Then immediately submitted 2 of the same exact article (one after another) with different titles and new summaries to different categories
5. Waited for them to get approved and both were AB-approved

Now Make History Repeat Itself

1. I whipped up my second article on a different product
2. Submitted to AB
3. Waited for it to get approved
4. Then immediately submitted 2 of the same exact article (one after another) with different titles and new summaries to different categories
5. Waited for them to get approved and both were AB-approved

Now, I've only done that for the first 2 different product articles I wrote for AB. I didn't want to keep doing it; I figured using a sprinkle technique might be good. So the next 2 articles I whipped up on different products were only submitted 1 time and approved again.

Submission of Rewrites

Eventually, I will get around to rewriting them and submitting the rewrites (which will be 100% unique because I have a hard time doing anything less than 100% unique) to different categories. I even thought to stick the rewrites on HubPages and see what would come of that avenue.

Google Results

After approved, my articles took 1-3 days to get indexed in Google. My articles appear on the first, second and third page of results for the "product name" keyword and the "developer name" keyword.

Sales Results

I don't know because I haven't checked yet. But last time I did check I had none. My marketing skills are far from the treetop and more like in the dirt. So I expect my sales to come in rather slowly compared to those who are good at the marketing game. Only time will tell. Until then I'll keep doing what I can to write articles for AB and start on HubPages.

I'm still tryin to figure out what bad characters means (the reason my article keeps getting nixed). Articlebase customer support gave me a vague answer and told me to repost my article after I copy n paste it to notepad first. Well i've done that twice and they again rejected it.

Can anyone enlighten me about "bad characters" and what this means?

I just want to get the damn article approved.

Solution
This is an MS Word issue that happens when you copy and paste from MS Word into the Editor. MS Word adds some invalid characters to the clipboard, and it shows up as invalid characters in the page. You need to follow these steps:

Select and copy the text from an MS Word document.
Place the cursor in the website page editor.
Press the 'Paste from Word' icon located in the editor toolbar.

When possible, enter text directly into the editor rather than pasting form other sources like Word. You will get better results. If you do need to paste from other sources, first paste the content in a basic Notepad editor. THEN copy that text and paste into the website editor, and *then* apply fonts and formats from within the editor. Pasting and copying from Notepad removes extraneous formatting from the original source.

I did submit a few of the same articles to different categories. I simply wanted to test out the sales/ranking changes if any, that occurred after doing it. However, I do recommend changing each article to keep with the quality standards we want here. By the way, the "Katie" account is one of many accounts I have on AB. So I suggest doing the same for all of you.

My question is about the "top level domain" requirements(I seem to have forgotten the answer!), in the case where
a redirect or aff link/url shortener is not allowed.....

If I were to use an interim landing page or blog to send customers to instead
of using a direct link to the sales page, does it require a "top level domain"?
I think I recall in past posts that it required a "top level domain"?

obviously in that case using blogspot or other subdomains wouldn't be
allowed, but was it articlesbase that requires top level domains ?
(and when I mention "articlesbase" I realize they are ok with a redirect link
BUT if I wanted to use a LP to a blog instead of a redirect for AB, is top level required ?)

or was it ezine? or was that one of the other primary article directories?

Well, I finally decided to take a stab. I have been reading BHW and planning for over a year on how I will make my entry into online money making. I am just in my freshman year of college. (I have made maybe around $4000 or $5000 while I was in highschool just doing web related work (php, mysql application dev mostly), which paid for my car and my paintball habit. Needless to say, I need money and I need it fast. I read this and decided I will take a stab at this for the next few months. Maybe put out articles for 1 or 2 products a day.

Your ebook and provided materials were excellent. I read them word for word. If I can't make $50 by the end of the week I will be surprised. This seems like something really good for me, because I can sit down and crank out an article or two in between classes when I have nothing better to do.

Thanks Tyler.....I've been away from BHW for awhile and logged into my account to see if I could find anything on Squidoo lenses. I was planning to use all free methods with Squidoo, EA and Blogger promoting products with article marketing. But I couldn't decide which one to start with first.

I have submitted several articles with different content of course but in the same format, and some have been accepted and others rejected. I tried submitting them in different times a day but still being rejected.

And is anyone here already on auto-approve status from them? Are your articles automatically accepted? I have roughly 60 articles already up but I don't seem to be on auto-approve.

What are you getting rejected for? I got on auto-approve at 18 articles, but if you're at 60 and not on auto-approve then you've probably not been writing the highest quality articles.
