Profile links do work and you don't need a small relevant text on the page. As long as your anchor text link is there and it's ********, you will see good results. Of course the profiles do need to be accessible and indexed by Google to see any kind of results.

I never cared about getting the backlinks indexed and I make $2-$3k/day.

They'll get indexed eventually, just care about obtaining them in the first place.

Forum links work but if they are not accessible or not indexed then no point. OP you are right without indexed they will pass no link juice.

There is another important factor since most of the forum get crawled on regular basis, people just keep making profiles and eventually search engines index your profiles. It will cost you less to make another new profile then trying to get indexed your old profile. You may make several times more that's why people just keep making it and leave it to get indexed on their own. For best result you can ask them to ping them or rss submission one time when they create it and then move forward.

They do work! =) just let the spiders crawl them and they will get indexed soon. for me it is best not to ping them so that google will see them naturally but that is just me =)

Even if you ping them they will not get indexed at once. I index them for faster results. If you are directly connecting to money site leave them be found with time. If that's not the case, index them you're safe

I think it's normal to do this kind of figures. I mean you have your own business and 1 000 000$ a year for a business it's not that much.

next year he should make at least double , internet marketing it's easy to scale compared to an offline business.

Forum profile does work. Even if the actuals page has a PR 0 but the domain has a Page rank of 9 then google give more link juice because the home page has a PR 9.

I would just leave these profile to cache naturally instead of using some tools to index them. But its your choice. Just make sure you don't do it at once.( to avoid foot prints)
