Quick n' Dirty Guide to Charon - Free, Good Proxy Checker

I don't know why but every proxy list i put in the program it doesn't detect any good proxy. If i put the list in the scrapebox it finds which proxies are good and which bad.

If we are using the Internal Judge (as recommended) do we still put our IP Address in the field labeled "This IP Address" ?

Also, My internal judge is giving different results than the external judge. I've tested a couple external judges against each other and they seem to be more consistent than the internal judge. Just thought I'd throw that out there for anyone deciding between the two.

EDIT: Well, it seems like Charon is automatically putting my IP Address in the field "This IP Address". That might be having an effect on my internal judge. My internal judge is returning all IPs as Bad for every scan so far. Anyone with similar flaws?

The program is using your IP address as the base for whether or not the proxy is working. If it checks the proxy and your IP address is still returned, the proxy isn't working.

External judge means exactly what it sounds like. You're using someone else's computer to verify your results, and hoping that it's good enough. If you're getting a unilateral bad result for your internal judging, you might have to rework your settings. Did you actually try using any of the proxies the external judges gave back to you as good?

Yea I just got through using 4 or 5 of the "good" proxies.
I checked them against 3w dawt proxy-check.squabbel dawt calm and every single one came back as a solid, undetected proxy. Even the ones that Charon told me were NON-anonymous (using external judges) proxy-check.squabbel picked up as non-anonymous as well.

I'm still playing with the settings because I can see your point.. Internal Judging is probably a sure bet when it comes to judging proxies.. but the External Judges (if you follow the OP instructions) seem to be working better in my case.

SN: CoDeeN HTTP CDN Service is a paid service, correct? A couple of the "good" proxies were through that service. If you plan to do anything illegal, don't use those proxies, they report to the police lol.

Hi,

I have 500 working proxy list and i tried to check proxy using charan toolbut all came as bad proxies, Can somebody tell, what i am doing wrong and where to find working proxy?

Regarding the updated filter... You stated...

This is an updated Planetlab filter, just copy the text and overwrite it with what's in your file.

My question...

Would it not be better to add the new data to the old instead of overwriting it?

Also, how can I know when a proxy can be used to send emails in an email application other than trying it in the email application?
