It's not worth anything now. Yahoo was bought by MS and site explorer has been dismantled. MS says in 2012 they'll have a paid API available for those site explorer results. Yahoo site explorer is dead.

This is not true... Yahoo still shows and will be showing backlinks as it was till day. And in case MS, will come out with paid API, my software will utilize it.

I'm already working on updates, and adding more backlink extraction sources, + PR checker etc.. I think I'll release it to public in several days.

I sure am.
I'd consider to make it a service rather than a product.
You can never rely on something that is not under your control (yahoo site explorer) and if you put a lifetime guarantee price tag - people will start complain if anything goes wrong in the future.

But once service stops working - people stop paying. that's it.

But it's up to you in the end.

Plus the product would be really "unique", because you know that many successful websites on top in SERPs link mainly to one index page - that's where stinkybooboo's method "hi-jacking" backlinks is not very useful.

How can you read my mind! Don't do this again!

Ive been testing this software and it does exactly what it says it does, very easy to use and gets all the backlinks.

I'm also interested in taking it for a test drive. I agree that a service model is more lucrative to have. I think spyfu is making a killing on their service, and you are not stuck with issues about people sharing the software, ripping you off etc. There are great subscription site packages which take care of all these issues. PM me if you want more info. I make my living on recurring subscriptions.

The software works ok, there is one problem, if your competitor has many backlinks can take hours to find all his backlinks.

Is extracting more backlinks than displayed on Yahoo Site Explorer for the homepage (url), for example I tested a site with ~100.000 backlinks for the main url in Yahoo Site Explorer and this software extracted more than 1.000.0000 in few hours only for .com and didn't finished the .com

Probably takes, hours if not days to extract all backlinks for some sites, I think, if a site with 50.000 indexed pages has a backlink to your competitor this software will list all these 50.000 backlinks as backlinks for your competitor, this is why it takes so much time.

The software is good and any SEO should have one.
Should be nice a feature to skip, ignore all pages from the same domain to speed up the process.
