David from Powerhousebids, scams for 84.00$

The owner of powerhousebids.com has owed me 84.00$ for sending him leads for almost 6 months. He started completely ignoring me after numerous times trying to get him to pay up. I completely understand that the amount of money in question is trivial but I feel that the principle of the matter is what needs to be considered. He has had tons of excuses about his paypal/alertpay account being frozen, etc etc, having done business with over 100 networks in the past year, I've heard them all. I did this long before he had any affiliate program or "minimum payout". In fact, I was the first person ever to send traffic to his site besides him sending himself. I spent hours on the phone training him on CL and other methods for promotion, which he then went and shared with anyone that could potentially send him traffic. Guys like this are a plague, and you coming in here stating something completely irrelevant only exacerbates the situation. Also, if you read the chat you would see he readily admits to owing me the money and that he was working towards paying it. This is Thomas's personal assistant talking since he doesn't have time to respond to every post on this thread or every network that owes him money, but I really felt it was necessary to respond to that.

I send traffic for that website. I just talked to David about this on Skype. I have never had a problem being able to get payment for a LOT more than $84.00. The fact I can send traffic a lot of different ways and its allowed is awesome. He did say he would pay you by Alert Pay. Alert Pay is free to open an account. Why didn't you just open one up I did. Anyway, I like the program. I make great money with it and David has always been great to me.

That's exactly why I stopped giving professional advice for free.
At one period, I was giving marketing consultancy (Affiliate marketing in particular) for "free".

I was the one contacted because people know me in the indutsry (Locally), went to meetings and spent lots of time giving free advice (PROFESSIONAL advice). I used to say - OK. Let the client understand that I am a real professional and then we move forward.. Don't need to be cheap on pennies.

But that's where I was wrong. People want free advice and are usually not willing to pay for professional service. I charge $75-$100 per hour locally and I am half priced according to my reputation. Just bcz I am a cool person.

But nowadays I give nothing. There is no more free advice. I invoice everyone for everything.
The same happens in oDesk, elance, etc... I was approached by 2 people from oDesk + Spent at least one hour with each when eventually they took my advice and went with $4 per hour Indian people. (No offence).

That's business. Don't reach a position where you need to "give up" $XX. You go nowhere this way.. Not to mention that people are CHEAP and GREEDY by nature.

Op stated that the guy never paid him, he had his proof, he posted here I am guessing to warn others, now, what you consider to be big money depends, lets not go after one another cause that is not the point.
