Hi Guys,

I have a question to ask.

If a domain have a page rank of maybe 5 on their main page.
but I get a link on the inner page of these domain which the page rank is 0, will I get any link juice from there?

You will get some - though some people discredit PR completely I believe it still is somewhat relevant to link juice. As a general rule, try to get links from pages with pagerank (as it shows that particular page itself has some value deemed by the pagerank algorithm). That being said, don't obsess about PR either as it isn't the most accurate way to value links. I use a combination of the following:

Indexed - site:website.com into google to confirm it is indexed
Yahoo Site Explorer - Make sure the page youre getting links from has backlinks itself
Age - whois the domain - older is generally better
Bad Neighborhood Check - Google this, its a great tool to see whos linking to who
Pagerank - Higher is usually better (duh)

Hope this helps,

Hi, thanks.

As you mention, I will get some. How much of the some will I get from the inner page?
Is there a way to calculate that?

You're thinking too much & wasting time. Get the damn link and move on.

I totally agree...

Next year the page might be PR2. who knows... if you can get a link with crafted link text then great. Otherwise, probably best not to dwell on it for more than a moment.

So little it isn't worth calculating... To get to PR3 more pages need to get somewhere around 1000-5000 backlinks. So it probably amounts to 1/3000 of a PR3 link juice amount. The information isn't actionable so its a pointless exercise.

This is true.

It depends on how you define link juice. Most people define it as PR flow, but some take it to be "link value".

On a small inner page with PR0, you'll get very little PR benefit but you will get points for IP diversity, relevance (if applicable), text embedding, and all the other factors that make a good link.

In my view, high PR in links packs the most punch but other factors are still worth having. If you can get the link in less than 30 seconds, it's worth getting just for the IP diversity.

OP, have you performed a site: search on this domain, combined with seoQuake? This will enable you to list all the internal pages by PR.

Pagerank doesn't say shit. I had a brand new domain, blasted it with senuke, until today the domain is not indexed ( probably duplicate content ), but it has a pagerank 3.
