Did xrumer get me fired?

I am a noob, just trying to make things happen. Anyway...I decided to hire an xrumer service to promote my affiliate link. It was my understanding that the service basically blasted blogs sites. but I started noticing odd referral traffic originating from my own affiliate url and not the associated ip like it should be. Does xrumer use this type of exploit to simulate traffic going to a domain.

If someone could look at this traffic report that my webmaster sent me and tell me what the heck happened, i would truly appreciate it.
I can't post it here due to the system filters.

Thanks, I'll see how far that goes. The problem is that the ceo gave me access to his server to help him with some stuff on the side so now he thinks I blasted spam from his own server.

Rather than blasting forum spam to your main money site, use an intermediary web 2.0
site or another throwaway domain, then 301 redirect it to your main site a month later.

if an article contains your link and you are blasting the article, then everybody will be able to tell you are the owner of that website.
unless maybe you put a bunch of other links in the article to confuse them?

Just because you own the website in an article doesn't mean that it's your article. What if someone else just wrote an article and submitted it to a directory and placed your link in the resource box?

There's no way your domain could get banned by blasting one of your parasites with links just because it links to your domain.

You'd be suprised at how few of the people who are responsible for investigating spam complaints
will actually take the time to click on the link and look for any outgoing links. Usually when they
receive a spam complaint they just look at the url involved in the complaint and focus on that. An
intermediary site will take care of 90% of the complaints.

If you want to go a step further, grab yourself a cheap .info domain to use in the forum postings,
then 2-3 weeks after your spam campaign is finished (and any complaints processed) place a link
to your main site on the .info, or better yet do a full 301 redirect. Make sure you don't host the .info
on the same hosting account as your main site.

Easy solution:
find a do follow blog post with some pagerank and some comments, drop a comment and blast the blog post with xrumer. How will they figure out who actually is the spammer when it could be anyone of the commenters?

Were you promoting DOTEASY or you were hosting with DOTEASY and run an xrumer blast to a domain hosted there?

Either way there is no spam mail sent so how can any of this make sense?

Please explain.

It doesn't make sense to me either. D*t easy hosts the site for whom I am an affiliate. I blasted my affiliate link, which is simply a referral link to the online store but isn't actually hosted on their server (it is actually an id***ffiliate link masked with the store link followed by a short numerical identifier)

My incoming traffic log was confusing when I started seeing traffic originate from my own link like it was a physical location on an actual site, which it isn't. Normally when someone clicks on my link it shows up as CL or BP or the blog site where my link is posted. If I email the link then it shows up as bookmark or email link in the log.

They found out because d*t easy sent a warning email that said the company was sending spam FROM their servers.

It's all good now anyway, just talked with my ceo and convinced jim to drop d*t easy and go with another company. Their servers were very slow anyway.
