France on Strike

I just don't get it. A lot of people in the US don't even retire as early as they can. Why should working to 62 be such a big deal? It's not saying you *CAN'T* retire, it's saying you can't be supported by the government if you do early, oh the horror. If I am dependent on Social Security when I retire I might as well give up, because that means I won't have saved anything for retirement after 45 years of working.

It's not like it's hard to put away $1000 a month into retirement for 45 years so you have a few million saved up by the time you retire. And I'm not even talking about IM here, I'm just saying from a normal working job. I'm fresh out of college and put almost that much into my retirement account every month from my job.

french people are lazy, assisted, and spoiled.

They cant understand that they have to work 2 years more to 62yo (which is even not enough) to make the retirement system more or less stable, whereas all the other european people work until 65 years old.

They love being on strike and blocking their country.

Their salaries are among the highests in the world and they still complain.

I know all of this because.... I am french.

Do you know that French Government actually was trying to force EU to accept French as an OFFICIAL EU language? Yeah, cause we are most important.

Yeah, go and slowly die in your social benefits. Let your country pay to you for nothing. Lets blame rich people - they are responsible for the fact that millions people are to stupid to get the job or try to change their lives.

SOCIAL BENEFIT for everybody! Communism is not bad! Lets team up with North Korea! They seems to be happy!


I would love to see more people that would actually look deeper in every problem, not just blame everybody and everything.

If you actually look up the tax levels in france both for someone who just has a job and for someone who owns a business in france then you will see why they are making soo much fuss!

World is changing, damn rise retirement age to 65!
