what is the risk of giving ftp access to person you don't know?

I charge min. $250 for on-site optimization regardless of the page rank.
And I have it in writing on 2 pages contract that is covering both me and my client.
It takes lots of guts( or little experience) to hand over your ftp access to some random guy.I'll tel you that.
It's like asking for ATM PIN

Beware guys!! if anyone has received this service and want me to look over your site as I think this guy is only out to serve himself!

On the few of the OP's posts where I have checked the files he is offering wordpress plugins to download they are seeded with his own links.

So whilst I may be wrong, but I think giving him access to your site is a NO NO and will result in hidden links/backdoors
