I can sum it up my in a few sentences. This script is fantastic. I have the attention span of a gnat and no programming skills. I am proficient at getting traffic but setting up scripts is not my forte. I had this script up on my server, configured, and running perfectly in 20 minutes (that included signing up for a couple of the sites needed to pull content from), and I did it while I was on the phone listening to a client droning on about something or other. I just picked mens apparel and accessories to test it out, now that I see how easy it works I will swap out products for high ticket items.

Its a no brainer. I will be purchasing the all inclusive package on the assumption that the other scripts are as functional and simple to deal with.

Hey symbiotic,

Thank you for the great suggestion. It Worked! :)

Yep, originally, I already had the "Default Category:" on e*Bayy Motors but the "Default Sorting" was set as "ending soonest". Switching the "Default Sorting" to "Best Match" improved it a little, but switching to "Category" resulted in listings of cars only (what I wanted).

Pretty Awesome :D

Now, if we can be allowed to further set the "number of bids", and fine tune the "Default Sorting" a little more, that would be great :). Oh, and another possible feature might be to allow users to show only auctions that are going at a minimum price (e.g. $50 ) or higher. ;)

Again, it's a great script that is easy to install, learn and use.

Cheerio :)
Thanks for honest review and the suggestion. We will definitely consider, but I think there are some minor mods we can make that will allow you to target your desired keyword even easier.

BTW, did you try to narrow down by category first? For your particular item you may want to choose eBay motors as the category and try Best Match or Category to get the results you are looking for.

Just a quick update.

I tried to change the header banner graphic on the AMS site to an automobile-related graphic.

You can upload your own header graphic (known as the logo.jpg) in the "Template Images" area inside you admin panel. (If you wanted to keep a copy of the original logo.jpg file on your server, just go to the folder (using FTP), and rename logo.jpg to logo-OLD.jp. Next, rename your own header logo graphic to logo.jpg and upload it to the directory.

Turns out that my header graphic was too large so i tried to shrink the image. That didn't make it look so good. So, instead, I went into the CSS sheet to change the logo area (width and height) a little and that made it look pretty ok.

Pretty easy to figure out :p and tweak.

Please read my other post in this thread if you're confused by what I've posted here ;)

Cheerio :D

After getting the AutoMega script quickly, I've played around with it on a spare domain and this is one helluva script. The FREE fact is nice, but you can get tons of scripts at no cost around here that are pretty worthless. This one isn't. I like it already more than BANS or StorStacker and it's also caused me to hold off on buying phpbay for the moment.

From the technical side of things, installation/configuration was straight-forward and simple. No surprises.

To echo what was mentioned in gifmore's review, being able to filter by auction price would be nice in the future. I'd also like to see other sites using the script as I happen to lack imagination, but this is a great start to truly a "mega" script that is ready to use right now. I'm definitely going to take a serious look at the other scripts ScriptIllusion has.

Just got it setup and i must say great script!

Would deal with this guy again anytime.

gifmore - thanks for the suggestions. We will definitely consider for the next version.

Cool. Thanks symbiotic. :)

There's tons of potential for the script and it can really take off great. Surprised you haven't been marketing the script elsewhere more.

Cheerio

I just bought this and installed it and all I can say is holy shit. I admit that this is the first script I've bought, but I'm seriously blown away by how easy and clever it is. Unfortunately I'm having some problems with the admin panel, but I'm sure it's due to my stupidity :)

Great script, I plan to buy 3 or 4 of these soon.

I'm down. Send me payment details please.

On a side note, do you know about Nin*g.c0m? Check it out and let us know if it's possible you could write a very similar kind of script for it. It's a badass idea, I think.

Also I'm a bit concerned about this template issue regarding Google shooting down the default template.

How can this be fixed easily?

Hi Symbiotic,

I would like to have the payment details sent for the unlimited license.

Also, does this include future upgrades (I read on this thread that you are going to have a new release sometime soon)?

Can you please let me know who I should use for hosting? Being a noob, it is not easy to know who offers all that is required and at a good price.

Thanks!

Mike

I uploaded the files to the root directory on my site, set the required permissions to 777, then went to http://yoursite.com/admin (with the name of my site in there) but the address was not found.
What am I doing wrong?

Sorry, just wanted to add that in your Read Me instructions you say:

2. Using an ftp (File Transfer Protocol) program
Upload the extracted files from your computer to your website

Which doesn't specify any part of the directory. That's why I just put the whole folder in the root. Am I missing anything?

You need to upload the extracted files via ftp to your public folder. If you are using a cPanel server it is called public_html.

If you are still having troubles contact our support staff via the support ticket system or me via PM and we can assist you further.

The public folder! Got it. I was afraid if I did that they would be accessible to the public...I don't know what I'm talking about.

I am checking what went you did wrong now, but please be patient as I am getting ready to be away for a few days for the labor day weekend so I may not be able to get back to you until Tuesday. I will do my best to check it out before then, but I cannot guarantee that.

Take Care,
Symbiotic
