How do you test if you're really anonymous behind proxies?

Let's say you're using a few proxies and you want to test if you're really anonymous. How do you do that?

Is there a website or an application that can show you're really hidden and you're not bleeding DNS leaks, Flash cookies or FORWARDED HTTP headers?

Also, do you guys mostly use only 1 proxy or 2-3 chained proxies? Or a VPN + proxy?

I use whatismyip to find out what my ip address is, I usually check a few other methods

For AnalyzeMy.Net - yes, with and without proxy.

It will tell you if you are on a truly anonymous proxy and if the proxy is hiding the fact that it is a proxy. Not just the IP address and location.

Anonymity types
Anonymous - HTTP Proxy server does not send HTTP_X_FORWARDED_FOR variable to host, this improves privacy since your IP address can not be logged.
High-anonymous (elite proxy) - HTTP Servers of this type do not send HTTP_X_FORWARDED_FOR, HTTP_VIA and HTTP_PROXY_CONNECTION variables. Host doesn't even know you are using proxy server an of course it doesn't know your IP address.

A good start would be to test proxy for anonymity before using.

1) Good link on understanding proxy anonymity and how such is tested. In a nutshell one must analyze the headers that proxies may leak by using a trusted destination server.

2) Use one or many proxy testers before you use a proxy. If you use more than one, then you can have more confidence.
Many proxy aggregation sites offer such a service for free.
