Facebook disabling Applications based upon their site URL :(

Just a heads up... facebook are cross referencing facebook applications which have the same Site URL and disabling them, this is bad news.

Especially bad for me lol All those backup app id's DIE

I'm going to tone it down a little, only 5 wall pots as opposed to 20+

See if that helps...

And also will look into wildcard subdomains so each Site URL is unique... except for the main url.... not sure if that would help or not really.

Do you think it is due to posting on people's walls that your apps are getting deleted?

Or something else like same IP or CPA gateway on app page?

from personal experience apps on new domains live slightly longer. If you app is making a lot of wall posts it will die.

oddly, share the app that makes just one post using connect dies faster than the multi-post one

Just a bit of an update... i made three PVA accounts with App ID's, all with the the same Site URL. One got banned this morning but the others are still active, so maybe facebook just had a mass banning yesterday and deleted all related App ID's? Hopefully it's an occasional thing not a regular thing

one after testing and sending out to 50 + friends
the other the moment i opened the post

i have had others stay allive
take the time to create a privacy pokicy with app name and a tos saying about by granting permisions you allow us to .....etc etc etc

it will keep you allive untill you go daft and post to tonnes of walls to quick

Do you mean the 'domain' URL? i.e. domain.com?
If so are subdomains counted the same also? i.e. sub.domain.com

Interesting... you mean on your external website? Makes perfect sense but i would have thought facebook wouldn't check the sites, they'd just ban them anyway...

95% of the time facebook doesn't check it. A program detects too many will posts were made in too short of time period and the app is killed. imho

Yeah i recken the same... what i have found though is "likes" really help, it may be a coincidence but try getting likes AFTER they allow the application... it seems to work quite well. Makes sense too, a like after they've allowed it is more reliable than a like before they even know what it is.

^ did exactly that and the app still died quickly. Maybe facebook disables .info's faster than .com's

The Like button on my site isnt working and i had no idea why, anyway i came across this link... http://developers.facebook.com/tools/lint/ basically told me the page has had abuse reports so i cant like shit anymore. Doh. Handy to tell if facebook hates you or not. App ID's still work fine though...

I have like 5 applications for one of my website? I haven't been spamming my users and they all seem to doing a decent job.

Is it against their TOS by any means?
