So I have been a member of this form for a while now, and actually just started participating in the talking (i'm a quiet guy), so I decided to share something inspiring to the nubs out there who have yet to see anything come out of what they do.

Long story short, I am a freelance web and graphic designer, and I make plenty of money doing the legitmate stuff, but I have always been a guy to do shady shit (internet and business-wise at least) for profit. I have BARELY begun to delve into the SEO market, but that's what makes this tale so sweet.

[Keep in mind while reading this, i know ABOUT seo, but have never applied it at all, I am more of a frontend/backend dev, so this was my first attempt at seo ever.]

I bought a domain for a local SEO niche ( city + business ) and just applied about 4 BASIC things that I learned here, and within 5 days I was the number one listing in the big G not only for that specific keyword I wanted to target, but also a plethora of related keywords.

I thought to myself, this is just the G**gle shuffle, so I gave it a few more days and just kept doing what I was doing. Another few days, same stuff, still at the top. Just kept grinding it out.

It has been 3 weeks now, and I am STILL at the top, I only lost one #1 spot, and it doesnt matter because I own the whole page for all my inner pages of the site anyways. I <3 BHW.

edit - removed where i typed out g**gle

awesome!

are you showing up on the maps or in the actual google listings? how much traffic are you getting at the top of local searches?

That's cool, but the question is...have you made money from it? If not, how will you? (Or can you?)

Both, actually, the maps thing is my own trick. Traffic is 25 ultra targeted leads a day, I am selling them individually at the moment for 50 bucks a pop to the local businesses of the niche until I can properly put a price tag on the website. I am thinking about 15g's for the whole thing, or they can rent it and brand it with their own business name for 2500 a month

Yeah, about a g a day selling the leads, but it is getting old. I am just trying to rent/sell the site to a local business

new domain or old one ?

Brand new, and a .info. about 3 weeks old at this point.

how many visitor?

25 a day

what is the domain?

Sorry, not giving up the niche yet.

That's illegal as hell.

Why would a business rent or buy a black hat listing and potentially risk their years of hard work just for to go*gle find out about your fake listing?

How can a G a day get old HAHAHAHHAH I smell bull dodo

Bro calm the ******** down, shit happens all the time. Local searches are a majority of the time extremely uncompetitive, just find a high ticket niche in a mid sized city.

What you are saying that people are prevalently making a thousand dollars a day or more? Thats 365K a year....not many people do that, hate to bust your bubble. I've been around the block with real life experience and that is not the norm buddy

a little to good to be true, 1000$ a day, i have a hard time believing that!!

I'm not just some hack that picks a keyword and goes with it. I did some heavy market research in my local vicinity and saw what had low competition and who would pay for leads.

I also made face to face meetings with these businesses and gave them a free lead that I had generated for them to call on the spot. 9 out of 10 times the lead would convert, so they were sold on the spot. Thats how it should be done.

Btw, a grand a day isnt shit. I own a creative development company with alot of big clients, and I can pull that no problem with my real business. There is a difference between being rich and being wealthy. I pick the latter.

It is actually mostly a white hat technique with some grey hat involved. And if you actually read my post, rather than skim it, I didnt mention any specifics at all. So how would you know that it is illegal at all? I am selling leads, like MANY other legitimate companies do.

People like you who just skim over posts and dont get all the information really piss me off, because you never get all the information, talk shit, and never make any real money in the process. Life isnt all instant gratification dude.

Still would like to know the 4 BASIC things you do? Im also in this game - but even with minimal competition Im finding the backlinking process tedious and would like to speed things up!
