Ok, So I want to target certain professions, could be lawyers, doctors, realtors.

I want to scrape only their blogs or their blogs with certain keywords. I tried the obvious but still end up with a lot of crap that has nothing to do with my target.

This is to solicit B2B referrals.

What would you do?

I would find the main keywords for these niches and put them into wonderwheelscraper and so built a large harvesting list. If you come up with only 200k results related, that may be it. Then make 3 spinned, specific comments for the run, and post away.

Also go to a few related harvested blogs and and find some spammers, scrape their links back and post on these.

Thats pretty much what I did but it yields a high percentage of unrelated blogs. If you want to post for business referrals, you don't want unrelated blogs or it just seems stupid. This is principally white hat, no link wheels, just comments straight back to the principals website (hopefully) high quality, targeted sites.

I'm looking for a way to target specific sites, not a nuclear solution.

Thanks!

Well if your looking to harvest and comment on 100K+ blogs thats not really white hat is it!

Usually I hit 500 or less sites at a time after filtering. Huge numbers are less important than relevance.

Well the problem is, there is really no way to remove 'unrelated' blogs. They were scraped because they obviously relate to the keyword that you use, it may just be an article they posted or even a comment (possibly from another spammer), but somehow google/bing/aol/yahoo decided that that blog needs to be displayed under that keyword.

My only suggestion would be to reduce the number of results you scrape per keyword, as the deeper you scrape into a keyword, the less relevant the content becomes (unless its an extremely strong keyword, such as 'car').

I would just submit the comments to all the sites, unless you want to take the time to go through each url to decide if it's relevant or not. If people aren't interested in your referral, then screw it, at the very least you got a free backlink. To the blogs that the content is relevant, you not only get a free backlink, but possible business referrals. I see a win-win here.

This is cool tut on using the wonderwheel scraper on scrapebox. I think you, should be more concerned about your content and site layout for increased conversion.so build backlins to that site.

I hadn't thought of that. A smaller scrape will probably get me the results I'm looking for. Thanks!
