Using Google Voice to create free PVAs?

Does Google Voice work for creating PVAs?? If it does, how many accounts can be verified per phone number??

I don't deal with PVAs just because they aren't that much better and just get rid of the captcher. I heard it works, and with Facebook its one per number, as I understand it.

It doesn't work... I believe he's thinking about Craiglist PVA's and it doesn't work. It doesn't work with verifying Facebook too as GV doesn't receive Facebook SMS

Try one of those SMS sites, and instead of the web address, plug in the IP. See if that works, otherwise, you can just use your friend's number and ask them for a favor.

By the way, about 3 months back I think it was, I was able to create 5 PVAs on one phone number. All you do is create the account, add the number, activate it, then remove the number.
I'm not sure if it still works, but give it a try and see what happens.

Google Voice, amongst other online SMS services do not send text messages to "short codes." FB uses a short code ("FBOOK").

I have yet to find an online service that allows outgoing text messages to short codes, but there might be some out there that exist.

Hmmm, the account that I created this week to try this out...looks like it's been verified, yet I never got the code when I tried using Google Voice! I thought it took two months to get verified if you didn't get the code and enter it!

Some how I have the option to have my own facebook.com/username URL which I think doesn't come until it's been phone verified.

I'm not sure I'm following you here.

The only reason why Google Voice won't work is because GV can't receive messages sent as [email protected]. And FB is sending SMS in that format.
