DUI at the McDonalds

I probably would've killed him.. drunk drivers are fucking morons.. plain and simple and the friends who think it's hilarious to let them drive are just as dumb.

They need to be taken to a dark room and giving a treatment that would make Hostel look like heaven.

well, maybe you have to get pretty wasted to eat down mcdonald's food

I think if you are caught redhanded doing something like that, you should just get the death penalty. Do you really need to reform them and release them back into society?
If you follow this procedure, you will improve the human race!

#1- no one thinks driving drunk is "hilarious". The only reason people drive drunk in the first place is because everyone else is drunk and really don't care if the person is driving drunk.

I mean what do you consider drunk? A .08 because I could run a marathon at .08 and be considered a drunk driver if I got pulled over.

If you think a person needs to be tortured for driving "drunk" then wow just wow.

Drunk drivers are just assholes. They're either too selfish or proud to ask for or pay for a ride home, and they kill thousands of innocent people each year (about 40% of all accidents in the US). A good friend of mine (female) was hit by a drunk driver a few months back. She's only 20 years old and will be in a wheel chair the rest of her life because some drunk asshole thought he "drove better while drunk"...

The laws are in place for a reason; they save lives. http://www.nhtsa.dot.gov/people/outreach/safesobr/13qp/facts/perselaws.html

At .08 BAC, all drivers, even experienced drinkers, show impairment in driving ability. For the great majority, there is serious deterioration in driving performance at .08 BAC.

While this guy is certainly a bonifide fucktard, I for one, certainly do not condone putting tax dollars towards sentencing his ass to death. Fortunately, this point is moot since the incident occurred in Michigan and we do not utilize the death penalty here. However, theoretically speaking, one death penalty costs more than life imprisonment. The appeals process and death row are very costly. Many death row cases are caught up in litigation for several years coupled with the fact that these inmates require higher level prison security.

Why should someone who has potentially caused other individuals so much grief be allowed to escape reality through death? In general, a life sentence on the other hand, is a much more suitable existence for someone who has consistently chosen to put others lives at risk.

What a douche. If you're in that much of a hurry, take your fat ass inside and order.

Quick question for ya. If you were the ones rear ended, how would you react? I'd want to react but if my kids were there, I'd be cautious.... caught in the fray type of deal

I actually support the right to drink and drive. I think that people should be penalized for the actual wrong they commit, not what they MIGHT commit. I drive slower when im drunk kuz im worried about getting pulled over

its idiots who speed, swerve in and out of traffic and do whatever else that cause the accidents. not being drunk.

and my heart goes out to anyone who is a victim of an accident involving a drunk driver. its just bullshit that they have to lump that guy in with the rest of the drunk drivers who drive hundreds of times a year and never get in a wreck

ASS HAT!

Yeah, and the guy that hit my wife head on was "only" going 40 miles per hour and not weaving around. It just so happens that he turned onto a four lane highway going the wrong direction. I watched it happen. I was in the car behind her. I beat the living fuck out of him and I'd do the same to you.

Initially, my first temptation would be to get out of my car and kick the shit out of his car. I mean literally, kick the shit out of his car. Not that he would have cared seeing as his car was a piece of shit and mine is brand new. However, my husband was with me (works in law enforcement and occasionally my voice of reason...lol) and as a female and parent, I really wouldn't want to get my ass kicked by some raging drunk lunatic. Furthermore, I don't need an aggravated assault charge either...employers tend to look down on that.

What the justice system needs to do with those people is slap a big fine on there aswell, make them pay for their own execution. Did you know that around 10,000 people are sentenced to death in china every month? While only a few are sentenced to death in the US, we have alot of room for improvement. :D

*joke*

like i said. one drunk driver is not all drunk drivers and my heart goes out to anyone who has been a victim of a driver who was impaired, just as it goes out to anyone who has been in a serious accident where the driver was sober or on the phone.

I think he should be punished for the actual crime he commited. But others shouldnt be punished for what is basically a thought crime.

I mean shit, "You might abuse a child because you are a preacher." Should we make being a preacher illegal? God no. Instead we should punish the ones who actually abuse the children.

It makes no sense to punish all drivers for the actions of a few. Especially when hundreds of people drink and drive home from a wedding, sporting event or other activity, with a few drinks (7 or 8, which isnt that much to an adult over the course of 3-4 hours) and then doesn't hurt anyone or damage anything.

I believe people who commit the actions that caused damage to you and Clix's friend should be punished, severely with a LOT of jail time. But that is because they actually did damage. Tens, maybe hundreds of Thousands of people drink and drive daily and never get in a crash. While when it happens it is a tragedy, Its just not logical to punish everyone for what a few really dumb mother fuckers do. instead create a crime like "Driving recklessly while drunk" or "speeding while intoxicated".... that way the idiots get punished and the ones who drive slower while drunk dont become victims of an overbearing government that cant stand up to oppressive groups like MADD or RADD or SADD.

Its just one more right that someone is in a hurry to give away. Thats my main beef with it. I mean why should anyone have the right to tell me what I can and cant do if I havent hurt anyone?

And there is a BAC where no one should be driving at too... but its not .08. its closer to .20

VOR....Voice of Reason. It sure doesn't help if your actions get you arrested as well for assault, worse yet if they had a weapon which everyone nowadays is quick to use.

Did they have to pay for their food?

The real question is did the cops charge the dumbass with agg assault? He should get locked away for a long time!!

So this isn't really about drunk driving at all, it's about you hating "the man" and having to follow laws? Wow. As for MADD, over the past two decades that MADD has been around, the annual number of DUI related deaths dropped from 30,000 a year to 15,000. Is saving 15,000 people's lives a year somehow less important than your buzz?

The fact is you're gambling with other people's lives when you drive drunk, and that's what makes drunk drivers selfish. They refuse to sacrifice their buzz or give up their driving PRIVILEGES, or for some reason think they "drive better when drunk" (pfft), and they're responsible for almost half of the automobile accidents that happen nation-wide. Again, I'll quote the website that I posted above:

At .08 BAC, all drivers, even experienced drinkers, show impairment in driving ability. For the great majority, there is serious deterioration in driving performance at .08 BAC.

It really is this simple: if you KNOW you're going out with the intention of getting buzzed or drunk, like to a bar or a ball game or even a wedding(?), then take a fucking cab or get a ride with a friend. Even if you DON'T plan to get drunk, but drive somewhere and do, take a cab or get a friend to drive you home. You can go back to get your car later. Don't be a selfish asshole who puts other people's lives at risk, just so you can get a fucking buzz.

And if you're not buzzed at .08 (equivalent of 4 drinks an hour on an empty stomach for a 170 lb man), then you may want to take a break from the booze, because your liver is probably screaming out for help.

Honestly, I can't believe some of the comments about this incident. Are some of you out of your mind? The punishment should be consistent with the crime.

To me here is the scenario: A drunk guy rammed the car in front of him at a McDonald's drive thru. There was property damage to both cars. Nobody was injured or killed. The drunk was arrested and taken to jail. His vehicle was towed. He will be charged with a serious crime and probably given jail time. (Michigan does not screw around) I believe the punishment will fit the crime.

But Clix wants to shot him on the spot. WTF! Then CPUGEEK second motions this stupidity. You two would both be in jail much longer than the drunk guy. What good would have come of the situation that you propose? A gun fight at the drive thru? You never know if the drunk was also armed.

The guy will be properly punished.
