I somehow have reddit automation for comments, and posting working successfully long term. It's browser automation using playwright. Im writing this to let you guys know its possible.

I have it running on only one account, on a 4g proxy. Its a 4 month old account I created myself and ran manually at the start.

Mine work until I mention my product (or any product) especially in threads ranked by Google.

Have you managed to do that?

I can get comments, upvotes, and even posts to work.

Also have a new system going for karma development.

Hired my old tech guy back and we're seeing if we can expand our reach on reddit big time

Are you using stock Playwright or patching it with stealth plugins? Also curious how many actions per day you consider successful without triggering shadowbans.

well, standard automation works fine for basic comments but threads ranking on GG have much tighter AutoMod word filters nd semantic NLP scanning mate. if u drop direct brand mentions -> AutoMod shadow deletes the comment instantly even using browser fingerprint 100% clean

Interesting that you've kept it running for four months on one account. Starting manually before adding automation probably helped keep things more natural. Have you noticed any changes in engagement since you switched to Playwright?

What is your niche?

How does this work—do you market your own products, or do you sell them to third parties?

That’s impressive! Keeping it running consistently for months is no small achievement. Thanks for sharing your experience!

yeah i literally didnt think it was even possible, i had been working on it for like months.

well it was a struggle even getting any automation to work and keep accounts alive, and thankfully products and ranking arent my goal. I am promoting for OF deals I have.

stock playwright, using gologin browser. Then I super over developed the behavior of all the automation and whatnot.

Technical edge I’m using: Playwright + custom human-typing plugin + random scroll depths on the feed before every comment, pure browser automation still beats any API attempt in 2026

Playwright can handle Reddit comment posting and a 4G proxy usually avoids immediate detection.
Just be aware of Reddit's rate limits-more than one comment per minute per IP may trigger a temporary ban.

I run a similar setup with Playwright in headless mode and a residential 4G proxy to avoid rate limits.
However, Reddit may flag accounts after a few weeks of nonstop activity, so monitor the ban queue.

interesting, reddit is so much restrictive

Is it really tighter on threads that rank on Google? Is that a recent thing? My whole modus operandi, was posting on threads that ranked for terms with reddit appended to it. I had a whole system going and I managed to post on over 1000 threads with only two bans over the course of 18 months.

Now, it's all been sealed off, in fact, the threads that rank for these terms now have very strict moderation, I cannot mention my domain, or even keywords associated with it, without the ban hammer coming down.

It actually makes me feel a bit better, because there was nothing I really could've down to prevent it.

are you actually running headless browsers successfully? sounds instantly bannable
