Hello,

I've heard people telling that reddit could be a good place to advertise, but from my experience, it's not.
I don't find any room to do it or it would just sound shady like answering to a post just to promote yourself in the shadow, you know what I mean ?

So question is : advertising on reddit - yes - no ? If yes, how ?

Thanks !

Reddit can work well for advertising, but it depends on the niche. I'd focus on relevant subreddits, understand their rules, and contribute genuinely before promoting anything. Reddit Ads are also worth testing.

Reddit can work for mobile proxies, but I'd use its ad platform or take part in relevant communities without forcing promotions into every discussion. People are usually cautious about proxy services, so being clear about what you're offering and why they should trust it matters more than posting links everywhere.

Reddit can work for mobile proxy advertising but direct promotion usually feels spammy I’d focus on relevant discussions helpful answers and transparent recommendations instead

Thanks for your answers, I've never heard about reddit ads, I will check it !

It might work which I must say won't be easy. one way to try is to use communities. They are safer. Everything else is under the eagle eyes of the Reddits Antispam filters

Yes, but only through the official Reddit Ads platform, not stealth promo. Sneaky comment-promo gets you banned fast, and Redditors hate it.

Reddit Ads targeted at relevant subs (like web scraping, automation, sneaker bots......) that's paid and clearly labeled. Also you can answer proxy questions without linking, build karma, then mention your service only when someone actually asks

I get all the answers above that you have to answer without linking, you have to build karma and only then you can mention but the thing is that it’s slow and most people quit it at the karma part. Trust me I tried several times and all my previous attempts failed. Waste of time that's what I though.

What actually worked for me and why I'm still there up to date, faster way imo is search reddit for people already asking for proxy recommendation and then answer those with something specific like which proxy type fits their use case and why. People asking are already buyers so you’re not shilling, you’re just first with a useful answer. Say upfront you sell them if it comes up, beign open about it gets way fewer downvotes than getting caught.

If you try ads too, check the ad policy for proxies before spending anything and track signup per sub so you know which one actually works. Me myself got a lot of bots clicking my links which was a disaster. What’s more is that I tried their retargeting and it's a lot better. It brought me a few paying clients and I’m super happy about the cost

Thanks you all for your answers, I really appreciate this help !

You are talking about building karma, what number is considered as good karma on reddit ?

Straight advertising is dead on Reddit, the only play left is creating helpful Automod-style guide posts in niche tech subs then sliding your mobile proxy offer in the comments after it ranks

You are welcome, pal!

Aint no magic numbers here as you can post a cat meme in r/askreddit and get like hundreds even thousands of upvotes or you can have an old ass account for a year or so with just 50+ karma and the chance they ban your first account is way higher. From my experience I'd aim to gain at least 50 karma points.

What matters is each sub own rules, a lot of them run automod that checks account age + karma and the minimum is usually in the rules or sidebar. Some ask for almost nothing and some are strict

I am not for Reddit advertising, but for the old classic route. IF the comment(s) (not directly ad) is contextual and replied in a helpful way inside the thread, Reddit will huge converts. And there may be a ton of already threads opportunities - and if they don't exists, create them =)

Are you trying to target general scraping subs or specific botting niches? The rules on self-promotion vary a lot depending on which mods you are dealing with.

I have not tryed anything yet, just watching, posting a question here and their to get the mood.
I would really like to find bot/botters niches !

If you find the right community on reddit it can work but is not usually the best place where you want to advertise proxy. I think is just not the right audience

He already said his niche is Proxies.

Yes you can advertise on Reddit but you have to give real value to other people before even thinking of promoting your proxies.

Test a small ad budget first. Make your pricing, proxy locations and limits clear, then track paying customers rather than clicks to see if Reddit works for you.
