VCC at Stripe

I have stripe business account.

I bought a script from website that allows VCC creation via api. I tested in sandbox and it works

Now I want to switch to live. I got email from stripe that it may cost $10k-$20k monthly fee. Is this correct?

I thought VCC was pay as you go service. Like they charge $0.05 etc

Why stripe asking for $20K for what cost to create vcc from stripe bussiness account?

This sounds suspicious. I will advise you check if you are really dealing with the real stripes. Because this is absurd.

yea, that is correct if u told me that u're building a public VCC platform or reselling cards dude. while standard Stripe Issuing has low pay-as-u-go card creation fees, operating a commercial card issuing platform trigger their enterprise compliance checks and monthly program minimum commitments ($10k-20k/m).

They use different platforms

Indeed some platform cost as much as 10k USD to get on
Others don't cost a thing
But getting on the platform that favours you is the real deal

If you browse sales threads you can see payments options. Or just go with some crypto processor, they're more liberal and often take CC's too

Yeah that 10k figure sounds like their Issuing pricing for bigger platforms, not the normal pay as you go stuff. I ran into something similar before and the sales team basically quoted enterprise pricing once they heard reselling. I would ask them in writing what tier you are on and what the minimums are before you move anything to live.
