honestly Every first January we say ‘happy new year'.

Then we spend the next 11 months when next year arrives, it’s just another January with the same day and with a fresh calendar. The new year isn’t new, it’s just last year wearing some date changes.

Be honest, where did the new year go? o_O

New year is just to refresh your bucket list with the same items from last year. And then you work on them for 1 week and wait for another year to refresh it again.

yes starting for 1 week is better than never starting :)

If you get bored of the new year, its cause your goals aren't compelling enough. I look forward to the end of each year, to see how well i done. This year been one of my all time fav's!

ppl live move on to new things, new time and refreshing themself, so new year make them feel something "NEW"

Haha, never thought of it that way Maybe the real scam is that time keeps moving while we keep making the same resolutions every year!

It no scam
Because one day, you grow grey hairs
Think about that

December always feels like a surprise deadline I never agreed to Nobody tells you the year is almost over until suddenly everyone's asking what you achieved. Can we get a warning notification at least a month earlier?

The funny part is how a random date on the calendar suddenly makes me feel guilty about things I completely forgot existed I'll ignore something for six months without a problem, but the moment December comes around, my brain starts reminding me of every unfinished thing like it's collecting evidence against me.

LOL, December turns out to be an annual performance review that no one has ever asked for. you go through all the thing that you were supposed to do at the beginning of the year, only to realize that you have done nothing even though you have accomplished some things. It is always better to concentrate on what has been done.

Haha the new year always comes with big plans and fresh motivation

Then a few weeks later we’re back to the same old routine

Maybe the real scam is thinking everything will magically change just because the calendar did

I saw this thread and felt sad that another year has gone by, and I haven't made any major changes in my life. :(
