I have been thinking of flipping some of my successful sites at flippa but I am too afraid that the buyer might be just a scammer that after receiving the site will just make a chargeback and probably win it because paypal is not to be used for digital products and services.

I just read a method of sending all the files and information the buyer needs via UPS so that the product is considered physical and not digital. What are your experiences regarding this? Is there a 100% safe way to sell expensive sites over the internet ( anything more than 500$ is considered expensive for me ). What about escrow? The buyer might still receive the product and just reject it in the given period of time, is this correct?

I need some advice from more experienced members, any help will be appreciated!

PS Sorry for the poor grammar.

In my opinion, Escrow is the safest service.

But it is costly but may be a good option depending of the amount $ transaction.

Use WU or Electronic transfer they are much better for selling sites than PP!

Escrow.com all the way

Clinton, who has spent years dealing with escow companies and has researched them in great depth, has warned multiple times about escrow.com

It's not as safe as people think. There are a lot of horror stories. So don't be complacent just because you're using an escrow company.

You should always take precautions anyway, method of payment is only a small part of that.

For the majority of transactions, Escrow is okay, you just need to do your due diligence beforehand. If someone is out to rip you off, there are loads of ways to do it and all payment methods have loopholes.

If you're going to use Paypal and you're worried, then yeah send them all the files to the site on a CD so that there's a tracking number, and if they try to dispute it to Paypal, you can prove it was sent.

But I think Escrow is probably the safest way. I wasn't aware of these "horror stories" that Karlos is talking about, so I will have to read more into those, but Escrow makes sure they hold the payment from the buyer and once everything is sent, they release it to you. The buyer can try to dispute it, but if you can show them that the domain has been transferred by using a Whois database, you should win it.

Now escrow has a discount fee through flippa.

I've been googleing escow horror stories and I'm not finding anything, so can someone shed some light on the subject?

Mate, I've sold many sites with multiple accounts, all of my accoutns have a trust over 6, all of the sales went either me getting money first, or 50% to me first, I send files, he sends rest 50%, I send domain, I've been flipping for an year now, read lots of books bout it, and I am a site broker :) never had a problem at all.
