I think narrow is actually good in the beginning. The real problem starts when the topic is so small that people run out of things to discuss. If you can still think of new questions, problems and updates around it every week, I’d say it’s not too narrow.

Yeah, going niche first would be a better choice imo. A small audience but with high intentions would always be easy to deal with than a large but low-intentioned one.

basically narrow niches usually have much higher conversion rates as well as higher user engagement cause the audience is highly passionate about that.
only becomes "too narrow" when u run out of content topics after few weeks; or when search volume is essentially 0
