Alternatives to Fiverr

it depends on your gig

if you offer designing sevices (ie i'll create you a logo for $5), you can make a twitter account around your designing service - make a nice background, profile pic and grab some feeds dealing with design to post relevant tweets (using something like twitterfeed) possibly w/o links in the tweets to get full attention when you tweet your gig's link - and target & follow people who may need your services (webmasters etc.) using automated tools like tweetattack

just think about who will be the most likely interested in your gig and target them on twitter and/or facebook

Actually my gig is more like investnment related, "I will teach you a 0 risk investnment procedure that will make you 20% on your money for $5"

Where would you advise to promote something like this?

honestly, most people at fiverr are looking for SEO/FB/twitter/designing services and not investment advices
so it's not the best gig what you can offer there that's for sure
but if you want to go this way, you can also try out twitter targeting the business niche, but i think people won't take a business advice offer seriously enough for only $5.00...

So, in your opinion, I would be better off selling this knowledge via ebook on DP?!

After 15 days with fiverr earning around $500. Register with other clones also but their traffic is like 1/20 of fiverr. I realize that the deal with $5 is easier to click than $10 and over. I suspended all my gigs because fiverr change the way they display gig. They randomly show gigs at their search result which reduce my traffic by 1/10. Glory days are over.

That annoyed me so much. My service was top quality and 100% satisfaction, but my new gig doesn't even show up anymore. Ah well, time to get our hands dirty a bit, automate the process, and move on with our lives.

I tried selling advice services, but all of them were duds. Ebooks on DP are the way to go.

Thanks for your input guys but I think you need to re-read my OP.

I am aware of lots of clone Fiverr sites but is anyone making any good money from them?

I tried on others but I did not get any orders so it's probably a time waster. Create more accounts on fiverr is your best solution atm! :)

That pissed me off too. I used to get like 20 orders/day. After they change their display. It dropped to 5/day:D. Still my gig rank top 10 for "back link" rating. This is the trick to get your gig on top of popular and rating search
- Use fast visit to increase your gig view. 100 - 150 view per day is fine. (search this forum for the app)
- Register fake accounts. Buy your own gig. Give it positive rating. It cost you $1 per positive feed back so if you spend $50 you can get on top of any keyword and even get featured.
- For the multiple account paypal. It's easily solved by adding extra email to your account. You can have up to 8 associate with your paypal account.

What would you say to be your sale/view ratio on fiverr?

I have 3 gigs available atm, all of them well over 200 views, and no sales yet :(
Mine was around 10% conversion rate. If your gig offer something truly valuable then you can get the same conversion rate.

$500 in 15 days, thats good going. I think I will have to try just putting a load of ads out there and see what happens. I'm sure most are saturated but if you throw the net wide enough, you can still earn - i hope.
It depend on what you offer. But I find fiverr's pay rate is still much better than other freelancer sites out there. If you can find the way to automate the work then it will be fine job. I tried twitter mass msg, google adword but it's not effective in my view. Why don't you give it a shoot and see what will happen.

i've tried the others but not find job at all. Fiverr is better..

This is really cool there other sites than fivver, i have never made any money online so i hope i can register with these sites and make some money finally.

I've earned total $120 in 2 months on fiverr. Also registered on 6-7 other sites like fiverr but no order so far except Zeerk (3 orders).
