I searched BHW and didn't find such a posting yet on both topics, so here goes.
It's tough to make money on eBay if 1. Your feedback score is low or you have less than 100% positive feedback, or 2. you do not have PowerSeller status.
FEEDBACKS
Buy products for $0.01. You can get 1,000 feedbacks for just $10.00. This will take a lot of effort and time. If you trust your outsourcer with your eBay account, go for it.
Sell products that costs only $0.01 is much easier than buying. I suggest listing digital products such as an eBook with resale rights starting at $0.01 or buy it now for $1.00. Hint: If you sell eBooks, you can direct them to your money site and make even more money.
Note: To see your feedback score go up, you must get feedback from unique buyers/sellers. If the same buy/seller leaves you additional feedback, eBay only counts the first feedback towards your overall score.
Make sure you follow up with each buyer/seller and ask them to give you feedback. Tell them, "Please leave me positive feedback, and I will do the same."
POWERSELLER STATUS
PowerSeller status can have a huge impact on sales and your pocket book. Here's how you can become a PowerSeller without having to actually sell anything.
First, you need someone you can trust such as a best friend or family member that has an eBay account. If you have multiple eBay accounts, I would not suggest cross selling/buying between the accounts as it may raise red flags by eBay/PayPal. The arrangement is that your friend buys your product, and you pay them back with cash. Don't use PayPal to pay him or her back as that will also raise red flags with eBay/PayPal.
List something that you can actually ship incase someone else bids on it. I suggest listing digital products since it?s so easy to ship them via email.
You can apply this same technique to become a top Diamond PowerSeller by listing $50,000 in sales per month and at least 50,000 items. You can list one item for at least $50,000 and at least 50,000 items of $.01 classified ads for instance.
FEES
Note: There are fees involved with buying and selling on eBay and using PayPal.

POWERSELLER POLICY
1. Learn eBay's policies for PowerSeller status. Policies are always subject to change, but PowerSeller rules have been fairly stable for a few years. To become a PowerSeller you must:
* Be an active member for 90 days.
* Average a minimum of $1000 in sales per month, for three consecutive months.
* Maintain a minimum of 4 average monthly listings for three consecutive months.
* Have an overall feedback rating of 100, of which 98% or more is positive.
* Have an account in good financial standing.
* Uphold the eBay community values, including honesty, timeliness and mutual respect
* Comply with all eBay listing and marketplace policies.
2. Understand PowerSeller Tiers. There are several tiers of PowerSeller, and your benefits vary depending on your tier. The tier you fall in is determined by consistent sales volume over a period of months. There are 6 PowerSeller Tiers:
* Bronze PowerSellers have a minimum of $1000 in sales per a month. Bronze tier benefits include prioritized online support from eBay.
* Silver PowerSellers must have a minimum of $3000 of business a month. Silver PowerSellers get both prioritized online support and toll free phone support.
* Gold PowerSellers are required to do $10,000 of volume a month. These PowerSellers get all the benefits of the first two tiers plus free access to eBay's Account Manager Software.
* Platinum PowerSellers get all the benefits of the gold tier but must do $25,000 of business monthly.
* Titanium PowerSellers must do $150,000 or more of business a month.
* Diamond PowerSellers have to do a minimum of $500,000 in sales or sell at least 50,000 items per month. This is the highest PowerSeller level!
