LCD or Plasma! SHOULD I BUY AN LCD OR PLASMA?

I JUST WANT TO PLAY VIDEO GAMES ON IT. I NEED A 50 INCH

Second time writing this!

Go with LCD for games, plasma for movies. LCD no issue with burn though plasma has improved. Overall life is now about the same. Plasma has better viewing angles, LCDs improving. LCDs are improving with motion blur but test or read reviews on the model you have your eye on. Sounds sucks on all so add a AV system.

If you have a lot of light coming in your room don't get plasma as it has a glass front which will make a lot of glare....

I have an LCD and it's just fine,.... so I guess it just really depends what setup you have... but yes, plasma 3d would be sweet as Cybertron noted....

Plasma for me. Better refresh rate than higher priced 240hz LCD models. Mine is 4 years old and runs fine at 600hz. Plasma prices are insane right now compared to when I bought mine.

As far as LCD, I will only buy one at the top end, anything else is junk. 240hz minimum and a higher contrast ratio. Cheap with LCD usually means its a left over from 2 years ago and already antiquated. Plasma on the other hand is cheap becuase its not the flavor of the month.

The only negative with plasma is the power consumption. They run hot and eat power like hungry squirrels so be prepared of you go that route

Depends if you want to look at it from the side. LCD viewing angle still sucks...

I have a 47" LG LED. Couldn't be happier.
