I don't have a tax ID, but I want to run ads on Facebook without paying tax. Is there a way to do that?
I do not want to pay extra tax charges on my ads.

If you mean avoiding taxes legally, you can't simply skip taxes because you don't have a tax ID. Don't use fake information or someone else's tax details.

If you mean avoiding extra taxes/fees charged by Meta, that's different some charges depend on your country, billing setup, and whether you provide a valid tax ID. Meta's official documentation has tax related requirements.

I will pay an extra 20% fee because I haven't added a tax number to the ad account. I don't have a tax number, and I don't want to pay 20% extra. I don't think there's a way to get rid of this. However, it doesn't perform verification when I enter the tax number.

Yes if Meta is asking for a valid tax number and you genuinely don't have one, there usually isn't a legitimate switch that makes the tax disappear. The important question is whether the 20% you're seeing is actually vat, or a combination of texes/fees.

Do a VPN to USA and add fake address to a 0% sales tax state. That s what I do, not sure on meta tho

You can set your ad account location to a tax free region like Delaware, Oregon, or countries with no digital ad tax laws. Facebook calculates tax based on the billing location you set in your ad manager settings, not your actual physical location.

You don't need to pay tax to run Facebook ads, there are many ways to skip that, You can use crypto loaded VCC with other country ad account.

Either get a new account or change your current location, test it with your own original card.

If that doesn't work you can get virtual cards with IBANs all around the world.

Everyone ends up losing their meta accounts one way or the other.

I have attached dutch, UK etc cards to Thai, HK meta accounts and this always worked fine, pretty sure it still does.

Currently using agencies for my ad accounts so that also solved that.

IF however in the future (FOR WHITEHAT) you want to run with your local cards for possible cashbacks etc and in general keeping shit more organised opening a corp to get your VAT number. To be honest, anything business related should be under a business to begin with as you reap a lot of benefits one being separating business from personal.

But yeah step 1:
Just select a different region for your accounts and see if you can load in your current cards.

Step 2:
Still keep it all under your name but go with a NEO bank as those cards often have completely different IBAN numbers and are more likely to work on Meta accounts in different GEOs.

Step 3:
If the ad accounts are rejected your own cards or of the NEO banks under your own name, consider going with a good and even a possible cashback virtual card provider. They often allow you to choose the location of the cards so the IBAN can match your meta accounts region.

And the final step is with hundreds of meta agencies around you can always go with that but the fees will be higher and in your case (If these are just personal and or whitehat products) I would rather keep everything under the same roof and do what I mentioned above.

I dont think there is a legal way to avoid paying taxes on Facebook ads if your country requires it.Meta automatically charges taxes based on your business or personal location and trys to bypass it usually gets your ad account flagged or banned from which you cant make another anymore.

No it does NOT and yes you can make several accounts.

Nobody is avoiding tax, VAT is returned every end of the tax year but by using a corp VAT number you can avoid having to pay this all together - LEGALLY.

Since OP doesn't work as a company he's going to have to front that 20% for a year, making running ads almost impossible.

Imagine running ecom and your margins are slim (Reality of ecom is 20 to 40% in profits)

You wouldn't even want to run meta ads to begin with.

So use the options I provided above, and when things go well you can always decide to open up a company (It's mad cheap to do so anyway)

If you don't work at least a tiny bit out of the system goodluck making it in life.

Yes and if the financial services in OP's country find out that he isn't paying taxes, do you think he won't avoid taxes plus fines and even jail time?

If meta is required to charge tax based on your billing country, there isn’t really a legitimate way around it. I’d make sure your business and billing details are entered correctly and check whether your country offers any valid tax exemption or VAT registration option.

Thank you all for your replies. I added my sole proprietorship's tax ID, but it also returned a "your tax information could not be verified" error.

Are you VAT registrated? most companied come without it but still provide you with a TAX id.

not having tax id doesnt mean you just avoid paying taxes.
when using someone elses tax information can cause bigger problems.so avoid it

Legally, you can't do anything. All solutions to bypass that would, in my humble opinion, be PURE fraud

That’s easy
I usually set the account's country to the US when adding a payment card, since you don't have to pay tax in the US

Yes, I am registered. I added my sole proprietorship's tax ID, but it couldn't be verified even though it is valid.
