What's the fastest you ever got #1

As you can see from my bio .. I only just heard about you guys.

So ... Who's got the fastest gun in the west ?

10 years ago I could get clients #1 on Infoseek in 14 minutes, but that was then and now is now.

My best on Google this year is about 10 days.

What is yours ?

a real site took me like 3 weeks but i wasnt really rushing.

you can get articles done fast when you submit them to press release sites. i havent had this happen yet but i've heard about it

Yes - I found Press Release is quick for indexing.

I got one domain I bought 12 days ago on a .org with 673,000 Exact on the G adwords tool ( if you believe it ).

That went to #3 after about 7 days.

Hoping for #2 next week

Depends on the KW you want to rank for. One of my new pages was #1 for a "not so bad" KW in less than 2 hours.

For some, I'm still either #2 or #3.

I would be curious to hear how fast to number 1 on a keyword that has more then 3 million results. Without some sort of dramatic incident propelling you up I would have troulbe imagining it takes less then 1-3 months.

Well my latest has > "About 150,000,000 results (0.08 seconds)"

And the adwords CPC is over $5.

But .... still #3

The fastest I have got to page 1 is 15 minutes to a #1 ranking I have taken it within a few days recently.Just by adding good content and good links to my website. I also use exact match domains to make sure I am getting good rankings fast for my primary keyword. What keywords have you ranked? I would like to know what kind of keywords you rank for in 10 days to the number one position.

Ranking my actual website using on-site optimization + some traffic, less than 2 weeks.

I'm a big advocate for on-site optimization because I see the incredible results that it comes with, so I always emphasize this

I think the quickest to #1 was within 2 weeks, on a highly competitive niche

Back in 2010, I was hitting first position in 2 minutes with metacafe videos.

Today, it typically takes 5-8 weeks to crack page 1. Still can be done though.
