All edited comments are removed!!!

I have edited several comments today and yesterdays in different subreddits with different accounts, different links from reddit (internal links) and all comments where removed. This was not the case before? Comments were old 2-3 days. Anyone experienced something similar?

With Reddit’s current AI-powered moderation system, I’ve been experiencing this quite frequently as well.
 
The fact it's happening across different accounts and subreddits and all makes me wonder if something changed on Reddit's side. Though it could also be something common to the connection environment you're using, just not sure that's normally enough on its own to trigger comment removals. See what happens specifically when the comments are edited and whether they're being removed by Reddit's automated systems or by the individual subreddit.

Lately, I’ve noticed something similar. Reddit seems to be getting stricter with edited comments, especially when they contain links. It may be related to recent filter or moderation changes.
 
I’ve experienced something similar. These days, Reddit’s filters seem to be overly strict, which makes things quite difficult for users.
 
Reddit has really upped its game with spam detection now. Did the comments have similar content? Or did they all at least sound promotional? Have you been doing this for a while over the course of a few week/months?

Either way, Reddit's filters have picked up a pattern and realised all those comments are operated by a multiple account network. That means all those accounts are on thin ice now.

Reddit released details last month of their new LLM powered sitewide filters.

That's direct from their blog post making much fanfare about their new filters. It's very tough to outsmart a sitewide LLM moderator.
 
yep just happened in last 3 days. No matter how old the comment was the edits are not sticking now i even tested one that was 2 months old removed within like an hour or 2 which would have never happened before that fast they all remove within 1 hour or less after edit. I think its over for reddit

I actually came to bhw right now to check up if others were having this issue . Dang

what kind of accounts are you using?

Those accounts have not edit comments before.
 
my accounts are very warmed up over weeks and months and im doing the same thing i been doing for a long period of time
i used to be able to edit fine except some didnt stay but you wouldnt know till like 18 hours later some were removed but in last 3 days now nothign is sticking all removed in about 1 hour or 2 hour and never seen that before where removed fast always. I thought maybe if i increased it like longer period maybe get around it but i just tested 3 comments that were like 2 months old just to see if i could edit really old ones and thats not working either they all just were removed like an hour or 2 later just now.
 
reddit has played around with the editing thing before in the past they were making it so you had to wait a long time then they lowered it a few onths ago and i could do it sooner then they increased it again a bit and i had to wait longer. they done that a year ago too also where they changed the time thresholds.
but this is the first time i seen it where even 2 month old comments were removed within an hour or 2. and even in the past whe you did it too early they didnt get removed within 1 hour or 2 it was always like 15 hours later. so i think this is a new permanent change maybe an AI moderator?
 
has anyone tried non links or does reddit view that as spam and remove those almost as easy as if you use links? Ive seen some people in the past few months using non links with varios ways to spam stuff but not sure how efffective that is (how many clicks) and how tough the filters are. especially now if redditjust tightened things again. cause links obviously editing is not gonna work anymore.
 
Maybe the edit itself is triggering the filter. Try checking if the same thing happens when you edit without adding a link.
