The number of followers is only a small part; the most important thing is that the content you post is relevant to your page's audience to generate engagement.I've seen smaller accounts get better engagement than pages with a big following. Is having the right network more important than the numbers?

right connections matter more than just big follower count. a smaller network people who actually care about your topic can bring better engagement.
Followers might look good on paper, but it was really the connections that open doors. In my opinion 200 followers who knows what u were doing is way better than a million quiet followers.I've seen smaller accounts get better engagement than pages with a big following. Is having the right network more important than the numbers?
